Welcome to 2024, inspired by someone that just lit up their journal and my copious amounts of free time right now being unemployed and using my resources to stay alive in the meantime. Update 1
Been out of the garden since last march, I just didn’t have it in me to take care of myself and put the energy towards a garden. Weed is cheap nowadays and I have 4 dispensaries within walking distance so sometimes it’s just easier to let someone else do it.

Enough of that, growing really makes me happy, it feeds my soul. I intended to skip outdoor this year, although a difficult choice, it allowed me to start my indoor garden in the timeframe that I would normally be using that space to dry my outdoor. I can typically grow indoors without ac or heat October through early may. Allowing me one extra indoor crop this winter so I’ll call that a win, considering yield from my indoor is about what I get from outdoor full season after loss.

first run has been a cut of glitterati (crane city)

Update 2, with glitterati coming down next week I had an opening while my seedlings were growing in my flower space. A good friend got me a couple of really nice healthy teens of superboof and ice cream cake and they should fill in while I get the next round ready. Took cuts off of them the day I picked em up and probably just put em in the other half of the room a few weeks later

so I’m officially done popping seed for this half of the year, after assessing what I had I decided I needed another 20 or so beans out of this mixIMG_3779.jpeg

Feeling a little overwhelmed as I start to get things into pots. There’s still another 15-20 that I’ll put in soil tomorrow. Everything that had sprouted hit soil today. Pruned the superboof and pruned/topped ice cream cake, threw a few cuts in water, may or may not root them. Flower room coming down as soon as I get some lines set up in spare bedroom to hang, probably Thursday which would be 69 days. I had put an extra 150w led panel as shop lighting in the garage. It had to move to garden duty. No biggie, the veg lights are more than enough work light if I need it. IMG_3811.jpegIMG_3810.jpegIMG_3806.jpegIMG_3812.jpeg

On to the next round, another week for the veg plants will be good. Flower room is too perfect to dry in though so I’ll give em that. Schedule is tight though so gotta keep the mission on track so I’ll be vacuuming any debris and pulling tables while they’re hanging this first week. Veg plants are performing well, so I’m happy about that, maybe a week behind, but I definitely need that week. Moving 315 cmh to the veg tent today, along with the 3 150w viparspectra led panels, the next round will get plenty.

Veg plants, I don’t have the energy to throw the cmh in there tonight. But superboof and icc are filling out nicely, put a few of the first round of seedlings in 1 gallon pots, shooting for 4x on one table and dropping in 9x on the other as soon as I can take clones. That leaves another spot in flower to run 10 others, got a lot to work through. Definitely going to be happy when I have a bunch of sample smoke and a handful of keeepers.

Big update. Things are moving fast, unfortunately the best place to hang flower is in a controlled environment and the next round could still use a bit of veg. Flower room is one helluva expensive walk in humidor lol. I think if I have another week I can actually fill the room, and there’s going to be quite a few from the first round that I’ll be able to pull cuts off in the next 1-2 weeks and get em rolling along.
I’m pretty sure this is what is pulling through for the hunt, I corrected a few issues and got better germ rates this round. Still had a few losses, but hey, i could’ve done better storage wise for some of these. And could’ve gotten better environment, but i got lazy because it gives me an excuse to pop more. Oh well, not actually concerned about viability of most of my stock now that I figured out why I had failures. But a healthy reminder to pop em if ya got em. Going to be a pretty fun hunt, lots of great samples to try at least.

When I hung these carbon filters, I had the socks installed. I knew it would be a struggle to get to them later, and I finally broke down and washed them. Hopefully I can go another 3 runs before I have to do it again. Got one put back on in this picture. One exhausts to under my house, and one circulates air within the space. Zero smell in my house throughout flower.

Flower room is mainly set, I have a 2x4 table I’ll fill up off to the side in a few weeks. This should get me most of the way through my hunt this run. Still have to take clones off the seedlings in here and flip the lights, but I had to get a clean spot for my cloner.

Got all the next round of seedlings moved into the big veg tent. So impressed by the coverage of just 3 of these 150w panels in my 4x8

First round of seedlings are all cloned and in soil. Got 18 more backed up in the cloned now and moved in. been a bit behind on the journal, garden has been keeping me pretty busy. Also put 10 nl5 and 15 blueberry muffin x nl5 I made last year 12/12 from seed in there. I think it’s a full boat

Terp tea bloom has done well for me before, let’s see how the veg plants like it too. Trying to run mostly organic this run because I hate mixing fertilizer. A couple random teas and some supersoil is pretty low maintenance though. We shall seeIMG_4138.jpeg
