my bad they are from this year just to lazy to update the date on the camera. i'm sure that some of the people on here can relate.haha
oh alright lol i was just confused. and im not sure if 2.5 feet high is going to be enough room for everything. if your plants are a foot tall, (with pots) and the light is like gongi to be like 10 inches thick. i just really dont want you to torch your plants. did you order some inline fans/ducting to cool it off?

i was thinking the same thing. no i didn't get one. but i was thinking of starting off with 50% power hoping that will help. the whole front face of the box is open so that should help release alot of heat and i have to fans that i can use to blow into the box to force the heat out and cool the plants i am hoping anyway i am going to try it out when the lights come on and keep a real close eye on them for awhile and make sure the temps don't get to high.

never too late to UPGRADE the light :)

you need ventilation for HID lights... get an inline fan, and some ducting and it will be worth it... trust me

well i got the new light all hooked up and i have to say i am liking the hps already. my box is so much cleaner makes watering and tending to a whole lot easier. running right now at 50% and the temps are staying pretty steady and within the range that my cfls were running at. the only thing i am having a question on is with a dimmable ballast or with a standard one do people notice that the light seems to go from orangish hew to a more of a whiter hew? or is it that my eyes are just adjusting to the color?
