legality of marijuana cultivation in my county?

Hello guys, I am in panic right now to find out what I am legally allowed to do in my county. I found this wonderful site today http://cannabusinesslaw.com/california-cannabis-laws-by-county/ that showed me that no matter what (patient or caregiver) you are only allowed up to 12 "immature" plants OR 6 "mature plants" . Im not too stressed about the immature or mature thing, Im planning on just having 6 huge trees.

That brings me to my next problem, (how much dried marijuana you are allowed to posses at 1 time) For a caregiver (Im just a patient now and dont know how to become that) you are allowed to own 8oz of marijuana per qualified patient. So I am wondering say I join a big dispensary as a caregiver, and sell to them, Do their patients become my patients which would allow me to hold pretty much as much as I want? Or does that mean I have no patients at all? This is the main problem I have with growing 6 huge marijuana trees, Is being arrested for holding too much.

Which brings me to the reason I care about all this in the first place, my neighbors. My neighbors would 100% call the cops on me every single day If the saw or smelled 6 marijuana trees in my backward (they hate marijuana so dam much, and also call the cops as much as humanly possible), So I want to be 1000% legal before I attempt anything, with paperwork to prove it. What would you guys do in my situation?

all my local laws are shown above, "8oz of marijuana per qualified patient" how do you acquire qualified patients, and does selling to a dispensary count as having qualified patients? These are things that the local laws do not specify.
