I dont have an issue with doing a diy project, looking at the HLG site now & see that they have a new QB288 V2 RSPEC boards. This is where I get a little lost, I would assume that this is their newest board correct ? So how many would I need for a 3'x3' tent ? If this is the best way to go I'm in just need to know which ones & how many I will need. Again thanks guys !

well people like to run more of them just lower if u want the best and upgradeability would be to get 4 of the boards imo but u can get away with 2

Okay, I think I have somewhat of a plan here. Going to go with the HLG diy kits, (2) of the Qb288V2 Rsepc slate 2 double combos with (2) Meanwell HLG-240H-C2100A Drivers. And just for the heck of it (2) of the QB96 Elite V2 Engines with (1) Meanwell HGL-320H-54 Driver. That should be plenty in a 3'X3' right ?

Honestly with two QB288v2 boards you’ll be fine

4 single boards, preferably not the qb96 cause it requires more hanging height due to being smaller on a 320 driver and youre good. If you wanna juice your build further add some far red pucks (qb3 iirc?) on a separate dimmable driver and run them a few mins after lights out for quicker flower. Your 800w suggestion is very ambitious but you will never use all of that and you would be likely to have too much light even with everything dimmed down as far as it goes.
But props for going all in :)

That's a lot of firepower.

These boards were literally made for a 3x3. Two boards with heatsinks form a 17"x17" Square, draw 370W at the wall with a HLG-320H-48A or AB driver. Will replace a 600W HPS: https://growlightsaustralia.com/product/double-high-light-and-heatsink-combo-350-450w-max/

High Light with HLG-320 in front, QB324s with HLG480 at the rear. Average 22+oz per 3'x3' square. QB324s are no longer available but this gives you an idea of the difference in size.

I know but is he lost? He stopped posting here and started there, im sure you can find him... Teknik seems llike a much bigger loss to riu but hes alive and kickin somewhere else. Random also left and is nowhere to be found, i think both of them made more contributions.

Big perm seemed quite ok in comparison, not sure why he would prefer the HGL crowd, cammie is proven to be absolute toxic, ask Hybridway about her...

The teknik loss sucks, he would have been such a useful tool in the LED section, it worked out great for some of us , as we still have access to him and his knowledge, that dude knows the LED world.

The randomblame disappearing act was also a big blow to RIU quality content, that dude is insanely smart and always down to help wherever he could, i hope hes doing well and finds his way back here or the other spot soon.

BP leaving for HGL is still a head scratcher

Nice, just looking to do it the right way, size wise, been looking at it & I think I can pull off a 4X4 Instead of a 3X3, trying to calculate what is needed now & want to order the goods tonight !
