LED vs HPS

I am considering buying some LED lights for energy efficiency reasons; with the price of electricity recently going up 35% and all, they seem far more economic. Has anyone got any experience using these and if so, how do the results compare to HPS?

Dude, not to be rude, but there are freakin threads like this posted almost everysingle day. I'd say use the search function but it seems to be on the blink. Look around in here, you'll find many threads on LED or just forget about using them cuz they are worthless and overpriced.

Results compared to HPS are pitiful. HPS grows plants so much bigger so much faster and denser than LED. a 400 Watt HPS is gonna set you back (average USA Rate) $18/month for 18/6 usage.

If you cannot afford $18/month then maybe you should get a lawn mowing job where you only have to mow 1 lawn per month in order to afford the HPS. I know its alot to ask, but holy shit $18. you'll be in the poor house trying to run that light a whole month of 18/6..

Now really serious here, anyone can afford $18 a month, even my 7 year olds could afford that with their .50c/job allowance.

Even with 35% increase it still only comes to $24/month. less if your just using it to flower.

LEDS aint got shit on HPS.
to even compare to HPS you need about 2gs worth of LED lights.
if you are seriously worried about elect just sell a couple grams to ya best friend to make the whole elct bill.
you dont even need a couple grams a dub bone would cover the HPS

dude, theres no comparison. you need to not worry about 30 xtra dollars a month and focus on whats important, big plentiful buds that wont take a year to harvest.
