LED ligh advice

i have a 4'(L)x2'(w)x5'(t) grow tent that I want to purchase an LED full spectrum light for. I'm looking online but can't find consistent advice on how many watts I need for that size tent. Any help on the best size/watts for a tent set up that size would be great. First time grower ❤

Depends on how you use your space, if you have clip on fans you'll be using the whole floor space wall to wall. If you have a floor fan obviously its be a waste to illuminate the fan.

An average would be 3-400w distributed evenly. White LED is the way to go, as a red/blue grower and full spectrum grower I have noticed the buds lack the density I see from my outdoors grows (obviously) and I compare to others cree and bridgelux grows and am quite envious. Anyway, I would recommend cob kits if you have capital for the build but if not then go with two mars panels and you be satisfied for a first grow on the cheap

A Cob kit is a good option . I started with Mars Panels and am now graduating to cobs and am just starting to build.
Don't mind ending up with the Mars panels they will be used for side lighting in flower mode.

Using 4 of the old style 3 fan 300w panels and 1 of the newer old style single fan 300w panels.
They actual grow pretty good bud , the cheap little things at $100 each

Check out the feedbacks on Amazon. You will hear people saying that those $100 lights are pure crap but I have both Lightimetunnel and Galaxyhydro since November and have yet to lose a single led. The 3 fan, no dimmer Lightimetunnel will put some frost on that my Cree Cobs cannot...then again it is not fair to compare putting 4 x 300 watt units in a 2 by 4 foot space to 6 Cree cxb3590 at 300 watts total. If your a prime member return shipping is free, which is exactly what I did with the Platinum LED.

An issue with full spectrum leds is height needed above the canopy

Now, this can be addressed by raising the base frame (~ 1'-2') using anything that will raise all 4 corners to the same height

An Amare Technologies P3 would rock in there, if the tent height was raised. Short of that, QBoards would be an excellent choice- several QB here
