LED Haters

I know many people are anti LED but I just wanted to throw up some pics of my harvest. If your on the fence about buying LED, i would consider it because i never had a heat problem which really made things go much smoother. Anyway, heres some pics. 2 Chemdawgs that were about 18-20" tall. 150 watt led with added cfl side lighting. Total harvest weight was 4.5 zips plus a half oz in trim that I used to make brownies. Thanks for looking!

I don't think most people are anti-LED so much as just unwilling to spend the money quality LED grow lights require when you can spend less than half of that and get more wattage out of incandescent or even T5s. I realize that 150w of LED light has way more effectively used light than incandescents, but spreading that LED light out over enough to equal the effective light canopy of a 600w MH just isn't gana happen yet. Now a nice small grow like yours where heat could be a big issue as well as space there are some definate advantages to LEDs. However, even in your own grow you added supplemental lighting. No doubt LED's are a big part of the future of growing as they get more powerful and cheaper, but until then there is no real compelling reason to use them. Now thats just my shitty opinion, but hey-- thats what we are all here to do.

All that aside, I would gladly puff a bowl of that pretty bud and destroy those brownies if given the opportunity.

I am with you on the LEDband wagon, but it is hard to say that you are proving anything if you add CFL.

I did the same thing with my grow, ProGrow180 and some cfls

it is hard not to put in some side lights, CFLs are cheap and easy albeit a little warm compaired to the LEDs

point taken on adding the cfl lighting. I added the extra because I knew I could do it without heat being an issue. I lst the plants to some extent so I felt the cfls would definitely benefit the plants. I used 23 watt cfls and added 5 or 6 around the sides. The plants were I think 16" and 18" and then when they went into flower they grew maybe 2 inches each, that was it. No stretching whatsoever. And by the way, the brownies were really fucking strong. I had 1 and a half and I thought i was going to die, it felt like a bad K2 trip lol. Lasted for 5 hours and I felt it the next day. My gf ate 2 and it took her like 2 full days to recover.

A lot of people are ANTI everything man.... which is what makes this world so diverse and wonderful.
Show them something that makes sense, and they will run you into the ground and make you do what they believe is best.
What we called in grade school "Peer Pressure". Shit's ridiculous, LED's work, so does the sun, so do CFL's, so do HID's.
To each his own, I love LED's, they work for me and my lifestyle right now. So do what works for you.
1 love
