LED grows. G/W. LOG. Please Post your Grow Diarys;

Hiya,

I wanted to compile a list of grows which acheive great than 1g/W

Not really fussed if you accounting for fans and ballast losses or not.

I hope to add my name to this list in 2 months, but as its my first time round I feel I might be waiting a while!

Have you grown with greater efficiency than 1g/W?

I guess Ill chime in, there have been several people hitting 1gpw+. Even some able to show us week by week and record their aweseomeness.

Positivity was probably my favorite run, 390w of dissipated light, 400-410w(?) including the cooling fans, and came out with 448g. In the space he is working with (a 2x4' tent) I loved it.

Supra consistently goes over 1gpw in his area but he runs several smaller panels for the ultimate adjustability to the amount of different strains he runs at a time.

Dawg has done it before, couple times?

There are others out there but ill let them come in here and say it, just wanted to keep the ball rolling.

LEDs are more than capable of doing it, once you start to grasp the details of WHY they would, then you start believing they can, and then... all of a sudden, they do. the guys at the hydro shop are still amazed when I go in and start talking about the HPS vs LED thing. One guy (owner, actually on vacation in Colorado right now) is seriously interested in LEP and I am begging him to ditch that shitty solarflare they are on display and try a newer LED and itd shit on LEP. The other guy is on the same page with me about CMH, good nuf.... for now.

I have 2 Sgs 160s, a 200w vero 29 diy, and a 180w vero 18 diy. Total 680w of light.
I used mix of super soil, roots organic soil, and root organic uprising bloom. only water until finish. all on 5 gals regular or smart pot, they both work great.. smart pot gives you a little bigger yield.

most of my plants i train into a screen atop each individual plant. keeps mobility of single plant, but lets you spread out the canopy super evenly until stretch is over(then you have some colas above the others)

3-4 oz a plant depending on strain x 6 plants(not including the single tall plant you see in there) =18-24oz= .74-.98 grams per watt of light...

strains going: super lemon haze, critical super silver haze, venino, cotton candy, and 2 different phenos of girl scout cookies. ALL DANK
