Looks like a cool set up ... did you get the purple diesel from clone or from a seed vendor? If seed -- who?

Hey there are two threads on this on accident...go here to follow this grow: https://www.rollitup.org/general-marijuana-growing/431665-13-girls-have-my-tent-3.html

but yeah i am a reseller for a few led companies and mine are new and not out for retail yet. My company does commercial grow retrofits and bigger made to order stuff, mostly outside of the cannabis growing world. These led bars are a different fixture than what is currently out there, however they are very expensive so we don't even fight the uphill battle with cannabis growers because its not worth the time to be honest, shit i own a 600watt and 1000watt hps at the same time i have all the LEDs haha... Cannabis loves the HPS more for some reason even though science points at LEDs to be better it just doesn't happen. I think it has to do with the heat stress and other stress that HPS gives out to the plant....but thats a long debate.

These things run 1200 a piece, and i got 2 in the tent. Usually we are selling big orders to growers of all kinds, peppers, vegetables, just recently cannabis and we tuned in these bars with more red for flowering. These lights are expensive upfront but because they are the only light to offer a 10 year insurance backed warranty program and they operate at extremely low wattage with amazing growing potential.

i don't at all agree. the plants i've worked with hands down prefer the LED over the HPS. I've used both alone and both together, and just don't see how anyone still believes HPS has anything on LED. Not just for yield per watt but also because the frostiness and potency is way better with the LED. I haven't completely replaced my HPS/MH, but am working diligently on doing so because 3 600w of HID isn't even coming close to what I'm doing in a 900w LED chamber. Same strains, same feedings just the exhaust fans are different. In my 1800w room I have to pretty much keep close to 400cfms running almost constantly but in my LED room it's a 200 cfm that kicks on every 3 hours for just 15 minutes to lower the humidity. My first grows with LED failed to impress me because I failed to make the proper adjustments. There's a learning curve to LED. I think anyone who isn't an idiot can learn to make the adjustments to use LED way more effectively than HID but anyways I will be replacing all my HPS because frankly I think they belong in a museum.

i completely agree better buds however most LEDs can not beat hps on yield due to coverage....1000watt of these grow bars will beat 1000watt hps all day because my coverage will be much greater. however 10 growbars will cost 10grand...

how big is your 900watts of LED covering?

The price of LED vs. HPS is cheaper because of power and bulb savings. The time it takes to recoup depends on your cost per kWh.

true,

I work in a legal state and go into full on grow operations and do full energy audits and package solar PV, HVAC timers, energy management systems and integrate it into the grow. The major cost is the demand from the lights and heat mitigation of larger growers. Power companies bill more on energy spikes and demand spikes so you have ot lower that demand. And in an industry where i am where prices for medicine are going down electricity is going up growers eventually will need to lower overhead to meet profit. Problems involve plant count rules, false LED claims from bullshit manufacturers, and skeptics that prevent commercial growers form doing LEDs. Electricity costs from lights and AC, exhaust fans and bulb costs are eliminated. But we have many commercial retrofits that involve a mix of our grow bars and HPS systems.
