Led grow? Is it really worth it?

Shit... havent been on this forum for so long! BUT im gunna get another grow on but i have been talking to one of my mates and he said the way to go now is led lights? im used to using a 800w hps light...

i kind of just want an experiment!

Let me know what you lot think? what strains shall i have a go at?!

LED grow lights are still a developing technology. From what I have read here, the effective ones are still very expensive. I heard $700 somewhere.

Good LEDs are prohibitively expensive. Also, where do you get 800w lights? If you want to experiment, try plasma lights.
