LED DIY noob build for 2x2x

Jesus man, just skip that Shit and grab a QB kit....

Don't forget to use RIU code for 10% off and free shipping for about $110 total and it's a done deal.

You're Welcome :-D
Missed this! I only noticed their V2 which was more expensive. Thanks!
Although that RIU code doesn't work anymore :/

Update :
Tried contacting HLG about int'l shipping for the lights. I currently do not live in the states and delivery costs to my country from HLG actually cost more than the kit itself .

Furthermore due to the Coronavirus our gov is possibly initiating a mandatory self quarantine and closures of all shops but pharmacies and supermarkets so getting components to build my own lights here is also out of the question.

The crazy times we live in.

Anyway, I found this listing on aliexpress of a qb288 diy kit. There are just so many options im not quite sure which to pick on terms of the LM301H /Lm301B. I want a spectrum suitable for full cycle so thinking of 3500K setup.

Added a link for the listing. Is this setup with the $$?

lm301h and lm301b are exactly the same from my research the h was used to distinguish marketing materials essentially, catering to the horticulture market by providing outputs in micromoles instead of lumens. Green Gene said the same in Youtube video too but I can't recall which one.

Like its repeated so often here, Lumens are for Humans and the interior design industry (B) and uMoles are for plants/horticultural industry (H).

That's not a very good deal. Go with Meiju....

Cool, though the link you sent me was for their 480w light, that would be too much for my 2×2 wouldn't it?

I checked out their store and found this 240w that just barely fits my tent ( it's 24.8 inch long)

What do you think?

Thanks airwalker, Blazer.. Everyone, really I appreciate the advice

Hey man - I'm not sure what sliding mechanism you're referencing. Those alibaba lights look like just some kind of pre-drilled frame as opposed to like a t-slot extrusion.

Whatever it is, the boards can be moved from close together as one big board almost; to separated as two individual ones with about 8" of space between them. I just thought that was kinda neat

I agree that it's cool to offer that kind of versatility although I think it would be even better if they offered a length ways side-by-side mounting option as well.

Op, you in europe?

Check out the zeus xl board from led-tech.de they can hook you up with a kit with everything if youre having corona sourcing problems. Also stay safe, things have gone to shite here in Spain and it seems like the rest of the worldd is only a week behiind...

Do realise that 120w of quality board is plenty for full flower in a 2x2 and a lot less for veg.
If you do go with a 240w kit then make sure its fully dimmable.

You could also look at these which come in a 4 pack and don't need anything more than aluminium plate to mount to

Yo thanks for the heads up. Stay safe man, I'm in Israel at the moment, we're not far from a total lock down order either. Right now I can only drive to buy drugs or food. Can't walk further than 100m/300ft from my apartment. Their lights look great, but they're just a bit over budget for me at 220€ if you add on shipping and customs. Sigh.

Thanks, yes I realize the 240 might be overkill I just wanted the option of having a stronger setup than what I need that's dimmable when I need to get the lights closer to the canopy. HLG lights were my dream but delivery from the states costs me as much or more than the lights themselves , I asked them. so I'm forced to look elsewhere, possibly upgrade to HLG once this craziness is past us.

Any opinions about the Meiju lights ?

They come in 240w 3000k/3500k 170$ incl. Shipping.
