lol Arc serie seems to be just a bull of shit unit... I guess they are not confident enough of their product to develop and release this unit without the help of Kickstarter

Their new unit looks to aim more for a market of innocent grandmas who look for having is little garden of tomatoes at home....

what makes u think that?

in fact every project of kickstarter now seems like full of bullshit because: they r not confident enough to invest money that they dont have

r u kidding me, is that ur proof?
how old r u?

He is a really nice guy. I meet him at a show. The big unit looks and in theory with that many true watts, should be really good. But even they said it is really hard to actually compete with bigger hid(600w-1000w)...and it is, but not impossible. Blackdogs just don't have a very high output for how many watts they run.

Here is a output graph for the biggest blackdog

Here is one for a few 1000w hps @24" in a standard AC hood... which is what the blackdog is supposed to replace

I believe they have spent a lot of time developing their spectrum, but that can only supplement so much for lower output.
They did pair up with method 7 glasses to make ones for red/blue led's...kinda cool if you got r/b's.

I know we talked about the 25w flood light looking panel a while back, but just noticed they now have a 250w version available.

Lookz like a solid unit huh...nice choice of whits and reds....great warranty...and no fans is cool...and Turbo charged red spectrums! Finally! :-P

But....

they dont state their LED's used that makes me think they are generic and cheap (maybe not...but you would state otherwise....) and the price is a bit steep...for a 100 and a bit dollars more you can get 2 x Area-51's

has anyone purchased from msledstore.com? they have Helios 210W lights with 8w Cree's for 229+ international shipping (bout 50 bucks to the US). I looked up the helios website and they want 500 + shipping for the same light.

Can someone please look at this link and give me some opinions on whether it seems legit? I'm skeptical, but the prices are rock bottom. I'm not advertising. I just ordered a pair of Kessils but now I see this and I may cancel/return.

very interesting, I'll wait for some of the Pro's to chime in. General feelings, if it looks to good to be true, it usually is. Also, they say they use Cree but no info on type of spectrum.

ya, same vibe here, just seems too good. the specs say 120 x 3w chips, and 8w in the center. the only way I can see them having these prices is if Helios contracted them to manufacture and didn't have the patent, so they stole the tech. they do appear to be identical in every regard though so I dunno. Im gonna keep my kessils anyway I think. Might take a chance and try ordering a helios around the holidays. the Kessil H350 is supposed to increase oil and resin due to superior penetration even with the smaller footprint over other $300-400 models so I doubt I can go wrong even with needing supplementals down the road.

here is the same light on the Helios website. $645 http://helios-ledgrowlights.com/Helios210.html

I just emailed Helios directly about it, hopefully I'll get answer.

Maybe email the other company about cree specs? I believe Helios says they use Epistar too?? Wouldn't doubt this being Asian markets attempt at making high tech cheaper! These countries seem to do it with everything else (cars, tv, computers, phones)

This is who you want to contact for those Helios panels http://www.bsled.com/ the actual manufacturer. The six module should be less that $300 shipped, ask for a "sample" panel. Tell them you own a hydro store and want to stock them, price may go down even further.

Yes 8 - 1w Cree chips in the center, rest is bulk encapsulated leds that they have on hand=== cheap

This is what the Bysen people sent me, they said nothing of Cree model type, just spectrum. I assume these companies could make lots of $$ if they got things correct on the R&R side of things. It seems manufacturing is no problem, maybe just using the right technology and current research would do them justice?Bysen1.jpgBysen2.jpg

Pricing is what I expected +$50 bucks for shipping........they do honor their warranty, just can't recommend these chinese panels anymore .........failure rates + lies/lies/lies.
