LED Companies w/ LINKS

I need a light for my 2x2 Veg tent, I have a budget of $200. This tent will be mainly for rooting a few clones and vegging one plant to a decent size before its moved into my larger tent, this will be sort of a temporary set up until I acquire more room in the near future.

The tent will have some air cooling but not enough to run a metal-halide in my opinion.

I plan to buy a quality light or build my own in the future but now is not a good time..

Can anyone recommend the "best" LED light for $200 or under? I'm aware its most likely going to be a piece of crap and not last very long.. But hey that's what cheap products do, Oh also I've seen the Area 51's on this site and although they are nice, I cant wait a month I need this light ASAP. Thank you.
Their is a $200 highbay 4000k led fixture made by lithuiana @HD..........with a five year warranty? And over 100lm/w? Not sure on the specs but saw it in store and it should easily do a 2x2 veg are= lit up the whole aisle...lol

Maybe someone can link it?.........phone sucks

I found the light you were talking about, I never thought about searching for lights not related to growing, I've already stumbled into better options than mars hydro, thank you for that.

After looking around and thinking about it.. I'm just going to save the money and go with a 250w CFL for now.

I'm really thinking about learning how to build my own light if I can find the time. Or might just wait and buy a high end LED light.

Anyways, thanks for the help.

Fluence Bioengeniering/BML SpydrRays are under 200 & come in different lengths. That might not be on their site yet & I hear poeple are taking awhile to get there orders. But it might be worth checking out. 2 spectrum choices.
But I think a 2'x2', 4 bulb T-5 is your best bet. $175 w/ bulbs included.

IDK but Fluence seems to be worried about marketing their image and how pretty their website is, but that's just me. IDK who said it, but when it comes to LED grow lights you can get a real good picture of how good the panel is by how nice the website is. The nicer the site the shittier the panel it seems. LOL Yeah I know, it's a terrible way to judge a panel's performance but goddamit just like a positive Throckmorton's sign it's right 9 x out of 10. :)

Well enough of fractured hips + penises here's another panel that someone needs to throw a plant under. I guess these were mentioned in January but there's a link to all the data you mathamagicians love ;).

SAN DIEGO, CA) – Luxtheon Lighting Corporation – Manufacturer of intelligent Plasma & LED lighting fixtures for industrial & commercial use – is excited to announce the Medusa Grow Light, the industry’s 1st hybrid plasma and LED horticultural lighting fixture, providing full control of the light spectrum throughout the horticulture process. Featuring Luxtheon’s SolidFusion Technology, the Medusa grow light combines a high output 470 watt plasma lamp and two true full spectrum 50 watt blue LEDs to maximize product yield. Controls on the fixture allow growers to switch the LEDs on and off, as well as adjust the plasma spectrum between ‘Vegetation’ and ‘Flower’ stages. This is achieved by tuning the intensity of heat the plasma lamp emits between 20 and 100 percent.

so does plasma have a chance to beat led efficiency ? Appears that plasma is limited spectrum wise, hence the led combo. But if plasma can't give us another boost in efficiency why bother ?

What do you guys think about the mini mo from heavebright?
It sure seems like Aquarium Pants is having trouble finding his own way.
Lets see - Tasty LED case color/spacing, PLC beveled corner design, Johnson Grow Lights cob Spacing on larger unit - grabbing a little here and there hoping for some left over crumbs of the cob market pie.

Trying to start some threads now guys. I'm running the SunCloak 4416 for my first LED in the mail. image.jpgAnd a bad-ass system IMO so far & I liked what I saw in a grow journal.
Also trying to find out the truth about Hydroponics Hut X5-500. image.jpg
For I couldn't find out anything that helpful with months of research. Lots of big claims & no transperancy. Need to know.
Got an Amare SE-450 coming Tue. & I'll be trying it side by side with the Hydroponics Hut. They're both about the same wattage with similiar yet different aproches to the game.
This is my first time using LED after gaining lots of knowledge from the peeps here & GC. I wanna say big thanks to you guys but the list is to long & some may not even know they help but their journals really made me understand so much better. From Tech to the difference between Transparency & Bullshit. This thread especially. Thanks! Hopefully I can get these threads going. Never did this before.

That seems expensive.. You can an 8 bulb 4' fixture for that price

@PSUAGRO.

When I end up sending my lights for additional, real data, specifically for the sphere test, it will likely be through another source, that way there's no conflicting interests lingering about.

I am not at all attempting to bust your balls here, i just have a precautionary question in regards to your fixtures.

A lot of feed back i have been receiving about your lamps is that they are equipped with standard quality parts but are considered to be "unsafe" for a growing environment.

Are they referring to your old un-frammed panels?

Please explain...

Hey there, Coughphee! Your questions are welcomed here!

I imagine they're referring to the early stages of my work, specifically the first-generation Model-V/C fixtures (there were a few generations before switching to the Mothership/Mini Mo' fixtures). The finished product for the F1 Models wasn't professional and it didn't help that I didn't have anyone thoroughly check my work and so there were of course problems with the design early on that were later on addressed and resolved.

I've grown and visited multiple growing environments and can claim that the fixtures I'm selling now are indeed safe for the typical, average farmer to grow with. In the case that someone was growing kelp underwater, it wouldn't be safe if the fixture were submerged underwater and powered on for any length of time but that's most electronics today with an exception of one or two ;-).
