Mostly agree but insulation is expensive, (just checked yesterday) and still has to factored in start up costs. In summer insulation is retains heat and is detrimental unless you use a/c
And there are alot of cheaper ways to insulate a grow room than pink panther high dollar stuff

IME, it keeps more summertime heat OUT than lamp heat IN. The more efficient your lighting, the better this gets.

Bonus; more stable growing conditions leads directly to better yields. This is known as process control in engineering circles.

The future of indoor gardening is efficiency, and better lighting is only the beginning of the ways one can improve it.

@since1991 I'm not a religious man, but it seems we are singing from the same hymnal this first Sunday in 2017!

CMH grow room using 7 630 watt Nanolux fixtures and philips bulbs. This is our first grow in many many years but we are really liking the CMH's so far. This is our first run so I'm interested to see the quality and yield when finished. This is a 12 plant room currently in 4th week of flower. We have Valley Girl, Cherry Pie, NY Sour D, and Blue Widow.

You've seen my 225W COB LED modules. Each trellis panel gets 4 of them, all in front... so ya, that plant was grown with only 900W; that's real live from the wall watts, INCLUDING driver losses.

Drop me a PM, we can talk anytime!

First grow in about 7 years. My buddy and I had an attic grow when we lived together back in 2010. The room we built ourselves now is sooo much better and more convinient than growing in the attic tho, haha.
Time, money and legalization combine to make growing much easier on one's back these days, lol

The room is about 8ft wide by 16ft long. There is also a 3ft by 8ft closet attached to the back of the room where we keep our nutrients, water resivior, etc...
I also stopped growing in 2010 when my son was born. I lived in Idaho so I didn't want to risk it anymore. Now being able to grow legally is such a wonderful thing, lol.

A good friend of mine refers to Idaho as 'Mordor', the lands of Sauron from Lord of the Rings, lol

Lots of Orcs there, apparently.

Once you do up a room the proper way and dont cut corners....it really shows. It did for me. No more temperature and humidity battles...no more bugs...no more problems. .Better end product. Just all around....better. Nice room. Expensive isnt it? To do it rite.
