I have a plant the is just about to hit the 1 month mark in a few days. Everything seemed to be fine until one day when i got home from work the leaves fell as if the light was off but it was on all day. I have a 400w hps i leave on for 16/8 hours anyone know what my problem is or is it anything to really worry about?

I'm no expert, but as far as I know plants droop from both under, and overwatering. Watering once a day seems enough, but the true test would be to jam your finger in the soil between waterings (just before you water). If the soil is still nice and moist, wait to water them. If the soil is very dry, perhaps water they on the same schedule but water them more often. There is no curling of the leaves and the color looks good (in the yellow light), so I wouldn't think it is heat stress or food issues. Hope this helps, thou to be safe I would cross reference our comments with other posts. Hope they pick up soon.

Try watering every 3-4 days. Stick your finger in the soil and when it feels dry
2"-3" down then give it a thorough watering

Remember your plants will look tired anyway an hour or so before lights out. !8 hours is a long time under hid lighting, how do they look an hour after they've woke up?
