Hello all, new Dwc grower here and am experiencing a issue already. During the beginning of week two I added nutrients and used half the recommended dosage. My ppm meter quite working so I couldn’t check ppm till the next day. My ppm was 600+. Since I’m still in the seedling stage I figured that was too high so I took out two gallons of water and replaced with fresh water only. This lowered the ppm to around 270. But when I checked plants the next day I noticed some yellow in the tops and leaves. My question is do you think they got some nute burn while they were in bucket over night with high ppm? They really didn’t look bad the next day before I changed water. I’m in a 4x4 room in a crawl space using spider farmer sf4000 and ac infinity t4 exhaust fan and using one as a intake fan as well. My ph is 5.74 ppm was 274 water temp 71 room temp between 80-82 , and seeds are do si do and thc bomb photo. thanks in advance.

Oh was good the day I diluted the water. It was in the 5.5-5.8range but when I checked it the next morning it was up to like 6.6-6.8 Range so I dropped it back down to 5.7. Gonna check it again soon to see if it increased again
the ph has jumped back to 6. What causes it to jump like that?

O2 and when plant eats nutes balance changes.
For your question yes a day could have made her yellow and it will take some days to recover.usually she stores inside her soo you need to wait for that to run her system

When u mix nutes, and add ph down,.wait 30 minutes and check ph again. What happens to me is that ph down didnt mix properly, and shortly after it jumps by 0.50. now i just bring it to 5.3 since its a constant thing

They dont look bad at all, I wouldn't worry too much they are young plants and will bounce back, they should start to take off soon just keep things like ph in check and nutrients temps nice and low. I run mine from 17C to 18C and never had any root issues. ph will rise and in smaller systems will do this much quicker so 2 adjustments maybe needed a day. i only need to adjust mine every 2 days. probably 350 to 400ltr system.
My new question would be, tomorrow is the day I’m supposed to add more nutes(week 2). If my ppm is pretty good should I add more nutes? Adding nutes in week one is what caused some yellowing of leaves since it doubled my ppm. I just don’t want to keep stressing the plants

No, outside of Rez changes, feed according to PPM, and 'micro-dose' with more nutes to bring PPM back up when it drops.
You know that doubling your PPM causes problems so you'll slowly be able to figure out how 'hot' of a feed they will tollerate. Seedlings require only a mild feed, anyway...they will be able to take a bit more when they are bigger.

So I went from yellow to brown. I’m wondering if this is a cal-mag issue. I’m using RO water and added 5 mil of cal mag to buckets. There’s probably 3 gal in each bucket
