Leaves Sticking Staright Up

The leaves on my plants are sticking almost straight up into the air and turning and at all kinds of weird angles...none of the leaves are showing problems of over fertilizing or nute burns or anything...im just kinda worried about why the leaves are at such awkward angles.

lower your lights. what kinda of light are you using?

im using cfls and four 4-foot blue spectrum lights...the lights are like 3 inches away give or take an inch but some of the leaves have grown up past the lights however the main cola (which hasnt budded yet) is still below the lights but its awkward because ive never seen leaves do this before

I had the same problem, for me I believe it was the lights being too close... I had 3 23 watt cfl's and moved them down to about 3-4 inches and they flatted out to normal. If it isnt the lights being too close it is possible that it might me magnesium deficiency which epsom salt could help this problem.

so would you guys say raise the lights?...also leaves on other plants are like tuned at a 90 degree angle...instead of being flat they are sideways sticking up and down

I dont got much experience but from all my knowledge that I have come across those are my guesses. Pictures are always nice and helpful too

sounds like the are reaching for the light. mine do this when they are happy. they stick their pretty little hands straight up and reach out for more, more, more.......

here are the pictures of them you can tell on the one where the leaf is literally sideways and on the other you can see where one of the leaves have grown past the lights...

so you would say there isnt really any problem if they are stretching past the lights lol...sounds like my plant might be slightly stoopid haha
