things to check.. watering ? make sure you flood soil.. then let tope 2-3 inches becfome dry... daily watering is a NO NO... How is your ph? what kind of light are you using?

thank you gk and mog. i'm using 1-1000 watt hps, planted in soil, i wanna say its the old growth, they are in veg stage 4 weeks now its the tip of the leaf that is curling up, where the top of the plant has like little white pistils sticking up, the tip of the leaf is curling up similar to a fish hook, i hope i am explaining this in a way that you would recognize, i am worried shitless, dammit i need a camera lol.. thank you both for helping

i am growing in soil in 5 gallon buckets, right now i am feeding at 950 ppm, medium is pro-mix with a little perlite added, yeah i know flowering should have started already but i am shooting for a 6' footers yielding at least 3oz per lady (i hope anyway lol). should the ppm be higher or lower? i am using a ro filter and ff grow big every other day and superthrive twice a week now and straight water from the ro system inbetween the ff grow big feeding days. thanks again guys for your advice it is appreciated.....and HAPPY THANKSGIVING TO ALL!!

my leaves started to curl in my aero, ill post when i figure out what it is, all are treated equal but a few have there fisrt few leaves curlin up

i am growing in rockwool using earth juice combos, 600w mh 18 hours a day, i set the timer for the watering three times a day but ive only been watering once every day really...before that they couldnt breath. plants are still under 12''. today i was checking on them to water and i noticed two indica dom strains leaves turned purplish grey on the outside rims and curled upward, also they are very brittle and crunchy.
my educated guess was that they didnt have any water..... first thing i did when i saw these poor babys.

if anyone has any suggestions please let me in, untill then we will see how it goes. today i was going to change out the res. and bump the nutrients. peace ya'll and Merry Christmas!

i have seen pictures like you describe, with the leaves looking healthy(as far as color goes). in the books i have seen with these pics, they explain the plant is "sensitive" to nutrients, thus the curling of the leaves, rather than the burning of them. i would back off the nutes a little bit and see if that helps.. i know there are strains out there that are extra sensitive. maybe you have one of those strains.

like said above, check ph and be sure to cut back on nutes. less is better for nutes, only use the amount needed, not more.......

same problem, just one of 6. think its the strain............treat her easy.......and flower for more than 6 weeks, do 8!!

I thought we went by the color of trichs and not a specific time limit. I was told to watch the color and when the trichs are mostly amber to harvest the bud. Since he's growing some huge plants, I doubt that he'll be able to harvest all the buds at the same time. He'll likely have to take the top first, then work his way down as they ripen.

I have a 4' tall 2' deep tent with Mylar. I've only grown a few cycles.

I get leaf curl just by placing my plant to close to the sides of the tent....just one more thing to consider if it is only the widest leaves coming in contact with the mylar.

Just one more possibility to consider.

Sorry if I awoke a dead thread. Hoping it helps calm someone like me down the road.

I'd say PH, is it pretty hot above your plants? You say you're using a 1,000 watt light which could cause some heat.
