Leaves Are Dying And Yellowing. Hasn't Grown Since I Topped it.

Hey, been having some problems with a plant my friend gave me. The leaves are dying, going crispy and falling off. It also hasn't grown back since i topped it about 10 days ago. I know it's long and lanky but it was already like that when i got it, my mate had it too far from the light. It was in a translucent red pot when i was given it and only just changed it to a standard opaque pot about 3 weeks later. I though that might be the cause. I've also been moving this plant in and out of my grow tent because i'm flowering my other plant and i have this one in there for 12 hours then put them outside in the sun. Is this causing stress to her? Anyway this isn't a very serious grow as it's for a friend and i'm not that bothered to be honest. I'm just wondering what exactly is wrong with her. Thanks

is it even getting enough light right now? looks like you might have put it into sunlight after a long time of going without and it just burned, i suggest putting it outside in the shade when full sunlight and after a week in full sunlight, but i dont know how much light its getting right now.. ?
