leafs curling up?

hey, my plants are only about 2 weeks old and Ive noticed that on my biggest one its leaves are starting to curl upward toward the light, but only on the edges of the leaves, at first I thought it was heat stress but there was no browning with the curling.

It doesnt seem to be effecting it what so ever tho, its growing like crazy regaurdless.

the plant might be getting cold ,so the leaves go up, to get closer to the main stem to keep it warm,thats what mine are doing right now

65 at night
80 in the day temps are ideal if you have heat

Pictures! If it is the side of the leaves curling up then it could be an early sign of magnesium deficiency.

thanks haha sounds alot like whats going on with my little guys... it gets down to 65 at night, is that to cold for them? I didnt think so but I guess it could be...

I say it's too close to the light, but not enough to fry it yet though. If it was magnesium deficiency all your plants would be doing it.

nah... I dont THINK it is... Im using CFL's and I have them probably about 4 inches away and I have a rather large fan on them. yes I know cfl's are supposed to be closer then that but the plants are not stretched one bit...idk the curling isnt to bad.

I could just be over reacting. I will keep an eye on it. Thank you tho.

get some epsom salts from your local Hydro store just in case. dissolve the epsom and mix it with water, then water the plants. always check PH as well. it's damn near impossible to burn leaves with CFL in my experience.

The PH SHOULD be ok... I let the water sit for acouple days before watering them and am using fox farm soil...

Letting tap water sit for a couple of days allows the chlorine evaporate but it doesn't do anything about over dissolved molecules. Chances are the pH of the water will be above 7, i.e. alkaline.

hrmm... guess I should get a better PH tester... the PH tester I have is like a meter with a huge metal stick on it...
