Leaf tips curled up

Normally, the seriated edges curl upward toward the light in an effort to stay "cool".

1 out of 10 plants are doing this, temp is not the issue.

70-75 entire days swing and humidity is 40%.

Why, other than heat woudl this happen?

Jake, I'm dealing with the same thing in my current grow. I didn't think it could be temps either, but now I'm pretty sure it is. It's not so much the room temp, but the leaf surface temp. The radiant heat is absorbed by the leaf. I guess the only option is to raise the light, or cool the room even more than it is. I'm getting the curl even with well vented hoods, about a foot above the buds. the lower buds, and buds on the edge... no curl.

mines on a seedling 3 week old seedling, but to be fair it looks to be the weakest of them all...

I have a glass thermometer sitting IN the light and it's reading 74

Any pointers on how my little ones are doing? One of my seedlings is pointing the serrated leaves upwards and I didnt want to start a similar thread on the same issue.

The other 5 look pretty cool but as its my first grow I'm not sure so any feedback is appreciated :thankyou

Hopefully I'm just being an overprotective parent but it would be nice to know

Those pictures with the curling leaves, they look like my midharvest leaves.

I trim all the upper buds in the budroom and when all the commercial buds are trimmed I pull the tray out of the room and cut all the trimmed buds off.
In about two days the leaves left on the rest of the plant look exactly like those pictures posted early in this thread. Why the plants wait in the dark with all the lower buds and leaves on is not germane to this thread.
The leaves go soft then the edges feather and curl up. May be something entirely different going on but the photos are showing the same end result on the leaves.

It might be a little heat stress. Mine reacted the same way. The first pic looks like you're using sunlight. What light are you using in the second photo. Wattage and distance from your plant?

ya man usually if your tips begin to hook upwards like that with no other deficiency signs it means your approaching peak harves. maybe at it depending in starin. check out the pistils and the trichs, she could be almost ready
EDIT: sorry this is meant for BURR, not the thread poster

I'm using a magnum xxl reflector with a 600w HPS and they are about 16-17 inches away - the light has been @ that level for the past two days and I was thinking if I should raise it slightly higher but at the same time I want to make sure they get the best quality/amount of light possible and I also wanted to try and avoid stretching the plant which if I understand it could be caused by a higher light source?

What do you think on the distance/light? TIA

that distance is fine...if you want to reduce stretching, then you need a mh bulb
putting a breeze over the plants should solve any heat problems you think you may have...
