Leaf / Plant problems! Please help!! P.S. My first post ever...

My friend has a bit of an issue... Both of these plants have all but halted. No growth, no nothing. Both plants pretty much stopped doing anything after being put into flower.

Current set up is 1000W HPS over a 4x4 flood and drain table with hydroton. Flooding 4 times daily. Also using GH nutrients. He just switched over to RO water, after using softened tap for a while. I think this may be the issue, but wanted to seek other advice. And I've been reading this forum for a while. It's a fountain of useful knowledge. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

The first plant (see pic 0059) is an Afghan Kush. The leaves are curled down on the ends, and a couple of the bottom leaves are yellowed. Some leaf tips look burned. Again, it's like it just quit.

And the second plant (pic 0060) is an unknown indica-dominant strain. Grows like a bush with fat buds. But it has severely yellowed leaves, mostly at the bottom, as well as some leaf tip burn. It too, has pretty much put a pause on life.

Thanks much in advance for any advice. I'm stumped! :wall:

So there has been progress and regression. Since my last post, the Afghan Kush made a serious comeback. But now it's developed another problem. The leaves have started to curl downward and inward. I'm trying to narrow down the problem as quickly as possible, so she will continue to thrive! Temps are perfect. Humidity could be higher, but still good. Keep in mind, it's night time, so she is a little sleepy. But you will notice the curl in the pics. Here's the setup again...

1000W air-cooled over a 4x4 tray
Flood and drain with hydroton
GH expert food regimen with RO water

Once again, any advice would be great. Thanks!

To much nutes + looks like you over watered and the "claw" leaves will never come back to normal...

When you flush them you have to let the soil go pretty dry then flush 1gal of water per gal of soil... So if your growing in 2 gal pots flush with 2 gallons water... Then make sure the soil goes dry again and repeat....

You have to let soil dry before watering again, otherwise there is way to much moisture in the soil and the roots cannot take in enough oxygen...

Pretty much flush with PH'D water and let the soil dry inbetween watering.

Hey I just started growing and I've been watering with RO water. I heard that RO water has the same PH level as tap water (7.0). Well that what t is in michigan. Is that true that RO water has the same PH as tap??

No way. Tap water can be all over the place. So it COULD be the same as your tap water. I just know that RO used with General Hydro nutes makes it so you don't have to mess with the ph at all. Very handy.
