Lazy Harvest

I have serious mobility/coordination issues. Over the years my harvest has gotten more and more automated, I realize that a few of my methods might be less than ideal, but I’m hoping I might pick up a few changes to optimize.

2 weeks before I cut it down I will switch its fertilizer over to RO water. I also stop spraying for bugs and spray with RO water to remove residual poison.

Then the entire plant is cut down and hung up in the closet. I do not trim at all, not even to take off fan leaves, the only trimming the plant ever receives, is removing lower branches for clones and removing the lowest right before going to bloom.

After 1 week I strip off the buds, I do mean strip, I usually run an oversized fork from the bottom of the branch to the tip. This strips, all of the buds and leaves off.

Once all of the buds are removed, I then throw everything into a manual bud trimmer. This gets rid of everything but good bud. Anything too small such as the many small buds on lower branches fall down into my trimmings.

My trimmings have a lot of trash, but I usually make bubble hash, and don’t care if it takes a little extra time with the egg beaters.

Then it goes into mason jars with Bovita moisturizing packs for two weeks. I’d then take out the packets and pump the air out of the jars with a hand held pump.

Now I realize some of my methods might not be ideal. I hope to gain a little insight, maybe a little criticism.

I use Potassium Soap about twice a month. Unless it gets really out of hand and I might switch to Jack’s Dead bug applied once a week two or three times

I will walk that timeline back a bit, never a month before harvest..

Your buds will dry faster if you if you take them off the stalk and trim before you hang them up. I don't see anything wrong with you process. Leaving the leaf on while you dry they have a tendency to curl and harden around your nugs, and that makes me feel like they are more likely to trap mold/or rot.
