Laws about Venders

What requirments are needed to be a vender, some places require a tax ID number and a permit to sell it. but others I heard you dont need anything.

You would have to open a corporation i believe regardless. Therefore you would have a EIN/Tax ID number.

And i have a question. How is not needing a permit or ein number or anything legally saying you can sell it, make it ok for you to sell it randomly? Thats called being a drug dealer and you dont need anything for that.

You do know that in cali (if thats what state your talking about) if you dont go through the proper channels they can come in there and shut you down whenever and thats why a lot of places get shut down.

Legally you need some type of corporation whether its a C-Corp LLC whatever you want. If you want to sell a product, even in cali.

There are pro and cons for ALL types of corporations

i run a small co op grow with my family. My goal is just to take a pound to LA and try to sell it once a month just to keep shit going to grow for personal use. to make upgrades and pay for electric.

if you own a co op why are you taking bud somewhere else to sell? You have a perfectly capable place to sell your bud if you own a co op.

All I am wonder is, should I file for DBA, become incorporated and apply for a EIN/Tax ID number.. what more is needed to be done. I want to be 100% legit.

yes, get inc'ed or llc'd get that ein, keep a lawyer on retainer, it's gonna be expensive to go without... also quickbooks is going to save you major headaches... bank account/ line of credit wouldn't hurt either...

you don't need a corporation to sell your goods. it's called a sole proprietary. what you do need is a tax ID number and a permit to sell whatever your selling.

the most expensive permits i've seen yet are alcohol licenses. if I wanted to open a restaurant(here at least) I'd need a drinks permit, a cartage permit, and a caterert's permit. also a security bond. all in all 25k in permits and bullshit.......

I would say get INC aka C-Corp. Its the cheapest and (at least in FL) protects you from a lot of bs.

yes a sole proprietorship is NOT the way to go with a medical marijuana biz, becuase all the owners assets are at risk, house, car, anything. LLC would seperate the biz owner and the biz becoming to seperate entities.
