Is there a way i dont have to look thru tons of political rants in the "Latest Posts" sidebar section. I come here to read and learn about growing. Not to see the latest crap from FOX or whoever the whipping boy is this month.

Is there a way i can filter out the entire politics section from appearing in Latest Posts? On our Xenforo forum the admins were able to do it and members could opt in if they wanted to see them.

If you ignore the account who started the thread, it no longer shows up in your feed. You'll find that blocking a few accounts might drastically decrease the amount of politics you notice.

I was trying to avoid that but yes im aware. Im also a Xenforo forum admin on a nonrelated topic forum. In "preferences" on ours there are way way more options.

simply ignore the political people very few of them post outside politics,
Sadly i had to do that. On a side note the back end (site admin panel) of Xenforo CAN block any part of the forum from showing in LASTEST POST. Im certain it can be done because we have done it on our forum. Those that want to see it "opt in" for that section and they will see it. You can also do it as a benefit to "supporting members". Only they can use the "hot topics" areas. No one else has to be annoyed with it. ;)

Ive been a Xenforo admin for quite a few years but mainly just day to day duties dealing with adults that require a babysitter because they dont know how to behave. :P

Oh and you could do far far better on smilies. Needs way more :P Very simple to add more.
