whats the distance between each plant ?
id say about 4 feet from plant to plant... the holes are three feet wide and i put about a foot and a half inbetween each hole. n since i got them in the ground so late im thinkin i should have placed them a little closer and added another row or two and did a outdoor sea of green kinda thing. but i guess only time will tell whether my spacing is correct or not. hopefully by the end of the season ill be wishing i spread them out more, cuz that would mean that they got bigger than i expected...

thanks man... and ya there is a bunch of us from sac on here, maybe cuz everybody and there mother in sac is growin bud. n thats hardly an exaggeration, i can name about 20 people real quick that are growing. and i could probably take my time and think of another 10 or so that i know of, its pretty crazy out here when it comes to that. and my uncle lives out in citrus heights, definately a much better area. hes also growing and if he wasnt so paranoid id post up some pictures of his garden, puts mine to shame a couple times over. hes been ammending his soil for about 15 years now, its like butter. but im gonna try n find ur grow in the organics section, you should put a link to it in your signature...

ok so i know i took forever to update, a month to be exact, but im one lazy bastard. but things are going good i guess, out of the original 20 that i planted i ripped up ten of them that had root rot and replaced them with 34 little baby clones. gonna go wit power in numbers i guess. i just planted the clones 4 days ago and they are doing alright, most of them are just extremely small. i threw some in pots cuz i got tired of diggin holes and i figure since its so late in the season they wont get too rootbound anyways. my blue dreams are doing the best, they are up to my belly button... im 5'11" so i dont know how tall that makes them, ill measure them tomorrow when i go water. but here are some pics from the garden today.

the originals...

Wow that's a ton of growth in a month. They love it out there in Sac. I always thought they didn't like the 100+ temps. I live there most of the year and go to Sac State :p

ya getting them harvested before someone else does the harvesting for u seems to be the hard bout here. a lot of pot plant thieves running around these parts. i think i was only one out of the ten or so of my close friends that grew last year that was able to harvest all of my plants before someone else got to them. i give that credit to my dogs for keepin my harvest safe.

Here are some flicks from the garden today... everything is fillin out nicely even the ones in the juvenile ward as i like to call it. the bigger ones are just shy of 6' now so im pleased with that considering how late i got them in. my queens, afghan milks, and purple kushs are all starting to bud and the rest are all showing pre flowers and should be in full on bloom any day now. the one in the first three pics is the blue dream that i lst'd.

The bigger ones...

well after some advice from DJJ i constructed a pvc frame for a makeshift halfway greenhouse sorta thing, not exactly professionally constructed but it will do. i will be covering it with some plastic in a couple weeks or so when the rainy season gets closer. i will only be covering the top of it and not the sides hence the reason i called it a halfway greenhouse. i was worried about my bigger plants finishing before the rains hit since they are still not buddin yet so instead of forcing them to flower i decided to cover them to protect them from the rain and let them flower naturally. heres a couple flicks from the garden today after i set up the frame. it took my cousin and i about 3 hours to put it all up. just pounded in some 3/8 rebar into the ground and slipped some 1/2in pvc over em. total cost was only $102. the ace hardware on kiefer blvd has a sale goin on right now, everything 50% off since they are downsizing. i got the two rolls of plastic for only $30, all the pvc pipe, primer/cement, and fittings for $45. the only thing i had to purchase at full price was the rebar which i picked up at home depot for $27.

ya im thinkin it was a must this year... my blue dreams just started budding today and they can take anywhere from 9-11 weeks so i wanna make sure my biggest plants finish all the way. i dont want a couple pounds of premature bud ya know.
