late budding?

ok here is my question. i live in washington and my plants started budding about a week into september. these are mostly sativa hybrids. i am a little worried that they will not be ready until early november because it gets cold here. (well at least below freezing) so i was just curious if anybody has had plants that started budding late. my plants get about 3 hours of direct sunlight daily right now, but they are 8 feet tall. the flowers are about the size of quarters right now.

i also have one more question, do buds outdoors grow slower in the beginning and then speed up near the end? or is it pretty much the same all the way through?

I'm in the same boat. This is my first bug grow. Three of my ladies (sativas) started flowering late august. They look like they still need at least a month. I'm hoping for no frost but its unlikly. Blerg. Just gotta hope the temp dosnt dip to low i guess.

They definetly transform quickly. My other girls (indicas) went from having small flowers to huge colas in just mere weeks. Its pretty crazy how quickly they swell up. I dont know if the fact that we get less and less sunlight now affects this though.

I'm in SoCal. I started indoors for a month then transfered outdoors in early august. Plants are a bit small, the males have seeded but the females are taking a while to show signs of budding. I'm not expecting anything till mid-october.

hurting too because I lost my fav plant from summer heat when temps hit 109.

but yeah, let your plants do their thing. Their ready when their ready.

I always hear people worrying about this.. sativa always takes longer than indica. i go by this philosophy, if everything is going good, and nothing changes, things usually end up good, unless your talking about politicians

they can survive a few mild frosts but a hard frost will finish them. its not 32 degrees or below the whole night it. temp does change through the night. got anything big enough like a box or something to cover em? cuz if u just cover it up like i said it will take a pretty heavy frost b4 it kills the plant.

lol vindicated, your males didnt seed they developed pollen sacs which will pollinate your females which in turn will ruin your crop. you are a true helmet.
