Ain't that the truthOh and "2 can keep a secret if 1 is dead."
i was asking a general question, and yes i do have a lot to learn.Im going to be honest for your sake so do not be offended please.
Im trying to give you what you need not what you want.
Here is my advice
Wait a long while before you try this.
Start reading and watching videos on growing.
My reason is the fact that you were able to ask that question while offering no facts that would help answer it.
That is my clue that at present you don't even know what questions to ask.
You could very easily find yourself wasting time and money or getting taken advantage of by someone who knows just enough to screw you.
Good luck.
Outdoors you'd only need 6 to 8 plants at 3ft tall to pull that. However outdoors you'll wanna start later than most people to end up with 3ft tall plants. If you've never grown before I'd suggest you do a few in soil outdoors to learn hands on.i was asking a general question, and yes i do have a lot to learn.
i was planning on several small plants (2-3ft) i’m wondering how many plants that size would total up to about a pound more or less. my idea to take advantage of small plants is to get a strain with very dense and short buds. i was thinking outside grow but... that might be too risky where i am.
If you are now talking indoor.i was asking a general question, and yes i do have a lot to learn.

that would make sense, ive heard of vertical grows aswell to take advantage of a small spaceIf you are now talking indoor.
I think a good goal for you would be a lb in a 4x4 area.
You can do better but you have to find the right strain and get your grow right.
You can also do a sea of green
Or a screen of green.
If you don't know what they are look them up
But I have gotten well over a lb in a 4x4 space with just a standard grow using hid lighting (with high ceiling)
I have done the same with a scrog as I have with large indoor plants.that would make sense, ive heard of vertical grows aswell to take advantage of a small space
