How do you connect your waterfall lines from your water pump to your netpot/whatever you use? straight into the side of the bucket? Ontop of the netpot? I am assuming you use a bulkhead yes? Just wondering if your waterfall trickles down the hydroton like a waterfarm does via the ring at the top?
Pump sits in my control bucket, where the chiller coil sits. Pumps water out thru a 1" flexible hose. This hose has half inch funny pipe tees every few inches, this is where a half inch line attaches and leads to the tubsite. At the tub, line fits into a half inch elbow fitting, which hooks into a hole in the top of my netpot bucket lid. The water just dribbles down from there and splashes into the water. The splash helps roots.

Recently, realizing that I'm using hydroton, I tried placing the elbow fitting so it runs down through the rocks in the netpot, right next to the stem. These seem even more vigorous.

Yeah that was my original thought. Why not use something like the waterfarm ring for water distribution underneath a piece of b/w poly~

The drip rings all have tiny holes which are prone to clogs. I hate clogs, so I stick with large water outlets, like half inch elbow fittings. If whatever it is made it thru the pump then it won't have a problem getting out through a half inch fitting.

I don't. What's in there to clog things up?
Very gradually captures all the small root particles in the water. Hydroguard prevents most of this honestly. No issues with my roots xD. It was a preventative measure but is nice none the less.

Hmmmmm. My RDWC has nothing in the control bucket at all, and that's where my pump pulls from. Just nice clean, cool water, on its way from the tubs to be chilled, pumped through my manifold and back into them. Maybe the gunk in my system gets caught in the roots, IDK. When I start switching my water from the netpot lids to the rocks the plant is growing in itself, whatever is there will beach itself on the hydroton and I'll be able to see for myself.
