L.ow S.tress T.raining, a process...

If done properly, I have found that LST can eliminate the need for higher stress training methods, such as Topping/FIMing. Also, the combination of the two can produce a MASSIVE amount of dominant colas and budsite from a single plant... Im talkin 20-30 heads if done right, and all less than 6" tall. (Or howvever long you want them)

It works because plants naturaly put the main focus of growth energy on the part of the plant closest to the sun.

Here are some pics of some I have just started to LST, I will keep this updated so you can see my process....

Here shows the part of stem where I first started training, I began doing this when I could see the second node appear....most of what is showing is usually covered with dirt, I just wanted you to get a view of where the roots started in relation to the first bend.

Here is the first side tie-down. As you can see, the first set of side nodes have begun to grow out and after a week or so are the same size as the top.

Next is the second tie down. I regretfully topped this plant a few times before realizing it didnt need be done, I will take each individual top and spread them out in all directions....

Stay tuned to see it in action!!!!!!

This is PEEFECT!!!
just what I needed bro.
I was planning to do this once I mastered the 20-30head scrog/lst grow.
I've looked everywhere on google and here to figure out
How exactly to be able to get many heads and do a perfect scrog.
Do you top/fim?
Do you have to lst?
How do I get so many heads on the screen?
How do you start to lst?
When do you start to lst/top/fim?
What nodes do you tie down?
How do you weave your canopy?
Do you have to weave it?
Those are all questions I've googled and all the answers always pop out
Its easy to scrog you will get lots of heads just by topping/fimming/scrogging.
But it never really explains in how to do all that.
I am a noob and I was thinking of mastering this learning by myself
And the creating a thread on how to do it step by step just like you are doing my friend.
You have saved me alot of time, aggravation, and messing up grows.
Thank you for think about the new growers.
I will be following and learning from you!!!!!
THANK YOU!!!!

Go for it the mj plant is pretty hardy it can take a lot of abuse. The stem of the mj plant are actually very flexible, I starred lst when my plants were a month old or so.

I start mine VERY early, as you can see in one of the pics where I uncovered dirt to show my first bend, that was started at about 3 or 4 weeks. You can start them bending anytime, just make sure you do it shortly AFTER a watering, as the stem will be less likely to snap.

Still haven't gotten around to update pics but it will come soon! They are looking well

Okay sorry I havent updated in a while ive been back n forth for the holidays just to water.

Main plant I was demonstrating this on got some nute burn off the first feed of tiger, I should have done 1/4 strength but did 1/2 instead...its coming out of it and will be back in action soon and hopefully. In other news, ALL THREE ARE FEMALE :)

Heres my smallest one, about eh id say maybe 2 weeks into flowering but im not sure I havent been keeping track. You can see the side nodes are just as big as the main head/s

IMG_0741.jpgIMG_0743.jpgIMG_0744.jpg

Im hoping this one will give me the most yeild....

nice LST, it would be interesting to see a plant that went all the way around the top of the planter

I love LST however I've never seen it done that early in a grow. Nice job!

It is infinitely easier with a hard sided pot. I won't grow with bags again that's for sure. Makes LST, something I must do, really inefficient.

so i dont know your extent of knowledge of lst but i was wondering do you have to make a full 90 degree bend to get the efferct or can slight modest bents and holding the plant down accomplish the same thing

Its easier on the plant to do it a little at a time, same result. It will look toward the light where you bend it

All you do is bend the plant over and then stake it...when they are young and new it is easy to do...don't have to worry about breaking til they are older...then they break. Just don't be rough...the easiest way is to loop the plant and then pull it over with whatever you are going to anchor it down with and then do it.

mini me, my 12/12 FS plant, making good progress but I can tell the bud is going to be airy like my last batch....DOES ANYONE KNOW A GOOD NUTE OR METHOD OF FATTENING THE BUDS?????

IMG_0778.jpgIMG_0777.jpg

Here go my prized baby, I really like the way I LSTed her minus the two side branches kinda running into each other.....
