KushDaddy's 400w V-Scrog Grow Cab

well here it is guys, its the one youve all been waiting for! lol the 400w cooltube v- scrog!will be venting the smell through an access in the closet ceiling that goes straight to a roof vent, perfect for the sour d since it will be stankin up the place.also venting the cooltube with a 160 cfm fan on its own exhaust circuit..


outside the cab super stealthy, its an old tv cabinet. i love it for the rolling shelf inside that is built to withstand the weight of a tv so it should be perfect for my containers.

Sick ass vert cab. Is it light tight?

no its not exactly light tight yet but it will be soon. Here's a pic of the scrog in action.finally got it going.indica on the left and sour diesel on the right. this screen is huge its gonna take forever to veg it.

Fuck yeah! This is badass I like it, Can't wait to see how they turn out.

thanks, my only worry is that those 1 gal containers might be kinda cramping the roots a little once these babies fill this monster screen up. I might have to upgrade to 2 gallon tubs at some point.

just measured my screen and its 7 sq ft. holy crap!..lol im really getting a ton of screen surface area in this small box using a cylinder

heres an update on the vscrog: did the 1st nute change with this system and it was cake, the screen is flexible letting me remove the lids and clean out the containers, im still admiring my rolling tv shelf idea, genius !lol

update on the cab, trimmed and trained the plants, and decided to start the dark cycles at 6 hrs..ill keep them on 18-6 now until flower time.



the sour D, is being a little less forgiving when it comes to training. the branches seem a lot thicker and stiffer than the other plant, more tendency to snap the branches when im weaving it through the screen.

they are filling up the screen nicely getting pretty close to the cfls now, i think i will upgrade to a single stronger bulb on each side when they grow up next to it.

I would suggest you try bread ties to pull the branches toward the screen. Fitted loosely around the branch and screen the ties will hold and proper placement will allow unhindered growth. That way you don't stress the thicker plant too much and it just may make harvest that mush easier later down the road.

Yeah, I usually do incorporate some bread ties into the grow, and your right, I wouldn't have to weave them so tight, I could go through every few holes of instead of every one..

fired up the HPS on monday. ive got a dimmable ballast and only have it on 25% to begin the flowering process.The light is super bright and the cab staying cool at about 88 degrees max at the screen.

well i guess this is going to be the beggining of a very long process. the sour diesel has shown itself to be a male.(ill upload pics later) so what ill do now is let these things flower until a few pollen sacs open up their flowers and ill pollinate a few buds on the indica then ill cut it out of the screen. ill probably leave the container for support but ill take the plant completely out ,because i want a few seeds not ALL seeds lol i hope to get a good amount of bud from this still.

i taped an envelope on the tube to block the light so i could take a good pic. i used a couple things in my mix this time that made these babys shoot up like crazy, its called bud blood. and im using something called rhizotonic root stimulator.

heres the sour diesel male, im wondering how long i have to wait until im able to collect some of this pollen. should i wait until the flowers start blooming? or can i just take the pods and open them up to get the pollen out.like i said i want a few seeds not all seed.

so the male flowers are starting to open up and im getting ready to chop some branches off and try to get some pollen out of sacs. i think ill take the male branches away from the female when i try to extract pollen, just so i can make sure the pollen doesnt spread too much and the seeds are more localized on the female. so i know where to look for them. by far this is the most involved ive been with the production of this plant. this will be my first attempt at crossbreeding but if im successful i will be able to call it my own strain. ill have to think of name for it, any suggestions? it will be an (unknown indica domnant x sourdiesel )

almost week 6 and the buds are starting to fatten up a little, pretty much stopped stretching and now its filling out. i pollinated a branch in the back and waiting to see some seeds.



i cut the sour d male out of the other side of the screen and replaced it with the indica mom that had been vegging for a couple months. so ill have a harvest in about 30 days and another harvest 30 days after that.
