what up fellow growers...im back for another one
i got injured, took a short break, and now im playing catch up.....but anyways on to the grow

Im still running 400w CMH and 2 Blackstar 240w LED's......all organics...no funny nutes or strange chemicals
currently ive got the cmh on the flowering towering master kush and the led's and the babies

The Garden
IMAG0169.jpgtwo small plants flowering, 3 clones and 6 from seed
IMAG0160.jpgIMAG0167.jpgIMAG0168.jpgMaster Kush 42 days flowering after reverting to veg twice....grown from a clone, ill blame it on bad genetics

IMAG0161.jpgIMAG0164.jpgIMAG0165.jpgand what does she do.......go back into veg for a third time........i think im gonna harvest her tomorrow

IMAG0170.jpgIMAG0173.jpgon my way out i dropped my crutches and ripped all the new growth off of one side of the pure afghan....oh well, i think ill get at least one clone out of the damage.....not sure if she's male of female yet though

im not too mobile right now, so ill post individual pics of the babies in a few days.....my first time growing from seed and im loving

yeah she stopped producing flowers and began shooting out fresh new veg growth.....no light leaks or anything, she just has a mind of her own

you can clearly see the new growth in these pics

what up curly, the first batch of compost turned out great and im already using it in my current grow

IMG_5210.jpg i first had to let it dry out a bit before running it through the mesh bucket screen by hand
_MG_5248.jpgIMG_5211.jpgclose up shots of the black gold
IMG_5502.jpgand then mixed the home-made compost with peat moss and vermiculite and im currently using it as my soil mix

most of the maggots died out this winter so composting has slowed down a bit, but when things warm a bit they increase in numbers

glad to see your back kushgroove I have been a coco advocate for awhile now when I was a noob I tried to hand water a bucket of hydroton and completely failed haha always been scared to use vermiculite peat moss or perlite how do you like it does it help being in the soil then simply having the soil in itself?

whats up dap.....seems to help out a lot in my opinion
i actually ended up adding a bit too much peatmoss my soil mix was pretty airy and started of without much nutrients in the mix.... i countered that by feeding the plants every watering until i noticed the leaves were green enough and the soil finally came alive....with all the extra peat moss the soil mix tends to hold a good bit of which works out great with the fabric pots ive upgraded to, which ive heard people complain about having to water every day....im sure you already know the vermiculite and perlite is used for drainage and creates small air pockets in the soil

Composting Update

IMAG0273.jpgBin A....adding fresh materials daily

IMAG0272.jpgBin B.....composting for a couple weeks

IMAG0270.jpgBin C.....composting for several weeks

IMAG0271.jpgIMAG0276.jpgIMAG0278.jpgIMAG0279.jpgBin D....composting for a couple months; added compost from Bin C, then added red wigglers to bin

IMAG0268.jpgIMAG0269.jpgBin E......composting for a couple months; added red wigglers to bin

hopefully the worms survive this time.....i killed them off last time with either acidic compost from using too much citrus or pesticides from the orange peels.....i stopped adding orange peels to the compost so hopefully everything works out

there were a good bit of maggots in the compost but from what i understand the red wigglers produce better composting for plants and they eat a whole lot faster

Master Kush....

IMAG0291.jpg.....after over a week of drying
IMAG0301.jpg....i couldnt load the bowl fast enough so i did an empty weigh and subtracted the difference
IMAG0299.jpg.....so 307grams total -177grams of plastic = 130grams of bud.....which gives me 4.5ounces of bud

i think its gonna be good year
