haha... well this is the 6th crop man, maybe you should look into the other 5 crops... crop 3 just got harvested so there should be some weed porno in that one. There's pictures of the Apollo 13 red bubble hash floating around in the second crop journal I think... plus I have a breeding project in here, just google Purpollo 13.... its all in here, I run perpetual, 4 week pop offs, and am breeding with a PCK Male at the moment. Thanks for swinging by the new journal, I still haven't figured out what's going in crop 6 or how many plants it will be. I'm waiting on some loot before I can build my 8000 watt garage, but until then, I am running a tent with 2200 watts. Right now the 93 site bubble cloner is rocking about 70 clones, there are 30 clones rooting which will get 3 total days of rooting before I ship them off to the dispensary. They are Church, Cheese and PCK. There is a 6 plant veg crop that is 12 weeks old and another 6 plant crop veggin. The first six will go in the bud tent next week, 4 weeks after I started the 6 that are in there now. Crop 4, 5, and 6 are technically running. I believe I will increase crop 6 to 12 plants assuming I will have the garage done. I might let the new clones grow out and clone them again because I noticed they have spider mites. First time I ever seen spider mites in any crop I ever grew, 25 years of dodging that bullet. I should have been more proactive when I got them home, but there was simply too much going on to get to it. I just let 1500 lady bugs loose back there. I'm giving them three days, and if they mites are still there, I'm gonna soap them plants down and dump new ladybugs in the tent just in case anything transfers over. I need them to be gone before they hit the tent, obviously. To make matters worse, the air conditioner back there took a shit and I had to switch over, not before the temps hit 95 for a brief spell. This made the ladybugs lethargic and not very hungry. The spider mites, on the other hand, spread like wildfire over the whole closet. Pics coming...

also, the plant that brought them was a shady as fuck looking lemon larry og. Didn't want it yet anyway, so I dumped it. I'm looking for more of a slammer jammer strain like Cheese Quake... more bullshit to come...

I would like to run a hard Apollo/Cheese/White Lightning conentration and include at least 2 or three Juicy Fruits. I guess we will see by the end of next week, stay tuned...

Oh yeah, the ladybugs (which outnumbered the mites more than thirty fold) are probably hungry by now. they took the spider mite problem out in two days instead of three, so I never even went and bought the soap.

and i gotta tell ya, the new clone box is LIGHTS OUT. I just ran it for 20 days and got 2 and a half runs off of it, 130 clones total. It's making my process of selection a lot deeper... with way more to choose from even if it is a very young clone before I pick it. I am at a point where I know when something that comes off of the cloner is going to be flowered here, so I can pick the make up of the crop out of the entire gene pool as well as picking the best out of the bunch on each strain rather than just dealing with what came off and started bangin...

Yes, I think that is how Crop 6 will be going down.

(Above) First is the extra. After picking the ones that started showing new growth the fastest and fullest, the rest get boxed up and shipped to the dispensary. The rest stay back in "Crop 6 Field" until next week. That is when I will give 15 of them to a friend of mine and I will keep the 12 best ones. Those are in the big clear tote, chillin on the porch.

The tote goes from the porch back into the laundry room at night. By the end of week one, the selection batch makes its way into the Veg closet, just as the last plant from crop 5 was cloned out and moved into the flowering tent. Those plants to the left of the selection tote are 4 clones I scored in Detroit: 2 KKSC, 1 LA Confidential, 1 Kryp Walk (Krytonite):

Crop 6 field is looking really healthy and happy so far. In a couple days, I will be able to water/feed them by simply filling the tote up about 2 to 3 inches. I started them in Roots Organic Coco and started them with a light serving of Age Old Organics Grow and some Sea Weed.

I also just picked up 2 clones in Montrose: Acid and Chocolope... things are getting spicy and dank in here by winter. I think I will wait to pop the El Nino, Haze, and Lemon Skunk till this avalanche of clones is sorted out. I may even have to evaluate the situation, and think about losing a strain or two. I am about the best person I have ever known personally when it comes to not losing a strain that people want... I am so good at it, I usually can't get rid of strains even if I don't want em. So far I discontinued Larry OG Kush (bad genetics), Northern Lights (Hermy on the Colas), the seed bag Pure Indica... kinda wish I could have worked with that more...and I chucked a Lemon Larry OG cuz it got raped by spider mites in veg. These were all grown, cloned, grown, cloned and flowered one time. I got back a strain I had last Med card (White Lightning) because my friends in Detroit kept it going somehow. The Kyle Kushman Strawberry Cough is one that keeps itself firmly secured in the Detroit grow scene. I grew it a couple years ago and I know the source, he never stopped running em.

This is how we do it player... Growers have always done it this way... haha... I am old school, but some things should never change. Like using Solo cups for clones and - no matter what else is on the list, you always have to spell out Skunk No 1 lol to at least Skunk1 haha.

These clone cuttings just came off of 6 plants that went into the flowering tent known as "Crop 5". The next shot is just some wacky weed porno shit. Daisy chain the damn lights together... haha. The black bins are always the ones I use to take clones to the dispensary because you can just clip lights and fans to the sides of em and go. these are all 26 watt CFL's btw. The black one on the floor was the first bubble cloner I ever built. It had a 50 capacity and I ran it 3 times for a total of about 120 clones in 8 weeks. Not bad, but nothing compared to that 93 site boy on the dryer... hope that big bastard don't tip over :/

I also managed to put 6 Kryp Walks and 4 Strawberry Cough cuttings in the bin, making it an even 93. This whole run will be going to the farmer's market.

This is such a perpetual crop thing now, I may just dump the skunk, bud the LA... and as soon as something from crop 4 comes out of the tent, toss the tow coughs in. Just saying

Alright peeps, if you stumbled back into any of my 2nd Med card crops, well, I am on my third card now. Look for that thread. All perpetual crop activities will now be covered in one thread. The Purpollo 13 project is still on, now that I got that spider might thing under control. thanks for caring or loving this shit. I look around the scene and I am still seeing a LOT of mediocre buds being schluffed out there as Medical or some other name when in fact it is garbage. Am I the only one in Michigan who trims as many sugar leaves off as possible? Maybe a slight exaggeration, but i'm getting sick of having to peel those sticky uncured bananas. Fuck. The reason for this complaint is two fold. One, I have to travel to the D to get a good price for my efforts because the dispensaries where I'm at now can't afford my prices. They push out 10 and 15 dollar grams most of the time, and the tree is NOT always proper, in fact, that is the rule of thumb. Which is the second part of the problem. There is still a heavy load of learning curve weed out there. NO DOUBT. I feel you new growers, but I take this stuff pretty seriously. I feel that if you are putting into the pool of what is sold as Medical Marijuana, it should pass the basic test of a true connoisseur. Not sure what that word means, click it. My friend works at Iron Labs and I know half of the bud of these dispensaries that they claim is tested is NOT. I'm not diching out on all dispensaries, but that is the problem when the State don't have a clue. Michigan is kicking and screaming its way into a system that will work, but in the meantime, we have to be aware of the current conditions of the program, the state of cultivation that exists, and how we can move forward to improve these things. 90% of the garbage out there, and this is going to be some harsh criticism for some of you beginners, but it is what it is... Do you think that a Corn farmer ever harvested a crop early to get it to market fast? No. And Jar burping for three days is not a good cure for MOST strains. There is a HUGE lack of patience out there, even experienced growers seem to be doing it because their stuff is still substantially better than a lot of the new growers. Overall, that is telling me that the quality of the medicine in my state is not improving, on average, but it is getting looser. It is sad when, all the way in Michigan, I can find better outdoor Cali than a LOT of the local indoor stash. And the price of the Cali is usually LOWER. Come on people, you owe it to yourself to send a couple buds into the lab. See what you are calling medicine, then look at real lab results from the labs. The only grow advice I ever give to anyone who asks is to read a book.
