KneeCap's 2nd Medical Card Grow...Crop 3

This Journal was mistakingly named .... Crop 2. This is actually the journal for crop 3. Sorry, I was sampling crop 1, uploading crop 1 and 2 and working on 1,2 and 3. The title is the onlymistake I made besides some data loss from a program freeze losing my cut and paste stuff... lol. Oh yeah, and if anyone knows how to change the name on a thread holla.

2011.12.5 Filled Up the CloneRx32

The birth of crop 3 begins with the birth of the new CloneRx. I grabbed a new tub and drilled 32 holes in it for 1 7/8" plugs. 1 3/4" holes worked like a dream. This time I got real neoprine plugs too so I wouldn't have the light leaking through the shittily cut plugs. The box still uses the same airstones and pumps as before. I reduced the total clone count due to the fact that I had a lot of extra clones with 50. Crop 1 and 2 focused on OG Kush and Apollo 13. This time, there is NL and a Pure Indica situation to deal with. I'm going to go forward with a handfull of Northern Lights clones, 3 different Pure Indica Plants, and a couple of the OG Kush and Apollo 13 clones just to keep them going. The seed crop Indicas have to be cloned for sex to MAKE SURE the ones I'm going to grow out are for sure females. So when I know whats what there, I will go where the clones take me. This crop should have 4 different strains total in 12 plants, most of which, I want to be Northern Lights. Here we go!

Finally, I cut 16 clones (4,4, and 8

off of the 3 Indica (seed crop) plants. They were planted on 9/11 – almost 3 months ago! I also cut 3 OG Kush and 3 Apollo 13 clones from the veg plants (crop 2). Finally, I cut 10 clones off of the NL plant. One of each of the 3 different Indica plants will be sexed, so the end numbers should be 3,3, and 7. Once the sex is determined, the males will be taken out. So far, the three Indica plants appeared to be female. When I first put the clones in, about half of them went limp. Checking them hourly, I could see the limp ones perking up. When I woke up the next morning, they were all perked up and looking nice. Inside the box, TOTAL darkness, 74 degrees and a lot of bubbles.

Finally, some of the Indica's hit Dixie Cups! All of them were from Plant #3, so I tossed one of those into the flower room to flower for identifying sex. Sidenote: all three plants vegg'd for a while. The preflowers all looked female but you never know, especially with an unfamiliar strain.

Planted 10 more clones from the CloneRx 32. Flowered one of the Indica Plant #2 clones.

2011.12.19 Planted 6 Clones

Finally, one of the Indica #1 made it out of the CloneRx 32. Two out of the four originals died because the air tube was touching the stems inside the box. Well, the remaining two are rooting, and today, one of those was good to go. The other one had a lot less root shoots sticking out, so it will be the one to go in the flower room when the rest of the clones are planted. There is one Apollo 13 and a couple NL left besides the Indica.

Everytime I planted the clones, I gave them a little Super B+ along with pH Balanced water.

The composition of crop 3 will be decided when the 3 Indica plants are done sexing. Once I know, I will divide it up evenly. I will want 2 OG Kush, 2 Apollo 13, 5 or 6 Northern Lights, and hopefully 2 or 3 Pure Indicas. Tentative name: TGI 420. Tent Grown Indica grown in the '420. The plant count on the pic on the right is:

Earlier in the day, I noticed some lumpy looking things growing on one of the Indica cups in the flowering room. Around ten that evening, I looked again. Not only could I see the male flower bulbs about to open on Indica #3, but Indica #2 had the two hairs pointing out of a couple spots, indicating female. I tossed all the males out of the dixie cup tub, taking the count in there down to 18.

I continued to wonder exactly what was crop 3 going to be like.... then my home boy from Detroit came up here and dropped the bomb on me. For 5 years straight, I have been seeking the famed G13 clone. Finally, motheryuckers, I got it:

The G-13 clone

Pretty sure last time I grew G13 it was this same strain as this one above. We harvested it outdoors in late september, and the yeild was so so. The bud was the fire, and we didn't sell a drop of that shit, but like I said, the plant I had was this same strain, based on the way the leaves look. In the G13 world, that is usually all one has to go by to tell if it is authentic. I know first hand the source I got the cutting from, but after that, it gets sketchy, which is usually the case with clone only strains. But the sources say that what I have is the Airborne G-13 clone.

The White Lightening clone.

Well I know this is the White Lightning that is a cross between Jack Herer and White Widow. I know because I got this clone from a guy about a year ago who bought the seeds from BC (somehow). The plant here has been kept in my circle of grower friends in Detroit for the last few months since I procured it. I can tell you, it is a solid copy, this plant is a super sativa and grows like a beast. I've grown it to bud four times last year myself, and have to say, it was always a good yeilder of bud and hash, maybe not as good as you thought while cutting them down, but not dissapointing either. Lots and lots of thc ALOT!

The Juicy Fruit clone.

Never grew it before, but back when I was losing weight for my friends who were shipping it in from Cali and BC back in the earlymid 2000's, I sure handled my share of it. From what I remember, the colas can get rediculously large and long with this strain. It really does smell and taste like Fruity Pebbles. The effects were that my buzz never went away and the wad of cash in my shoe box never melted down too far, so I guess that makes it about a 4 out of 5 overall. I'm not too hyped by fruity buds, but I love indica, so there you go. So far, it has been a snap to grow the clone, lets see how well the cuttings clone. For that, you will have to check the journal for crop 4. So far as of today, the plan is to crop this batch of 12 plants out and start 4 week rotations in May, when this crop will be harvested. Crop 3 finally consists of:

5 Northern Lights Clones
2 Pure Indica Clones
1 Apollo 13 Clone
1 OG Kush Clone
1 G13 Clone
1 White Lightning Clone
1 Juicy Fruit Clone

I usually don't like this kind of crop make-up, but with the medical marijuana laws the way they are, my hands are tied.

Commercially speaking, I am about to have some Northern Lights Available from Crop 3 sometime Between April and June. The rest might stay in my cupboard

People have asked me a couple times now, why don't you get more med cards and grow more plants? The main reason right now is that I live in a small house and there is no basement. I'm about to "Dexter" off the attic and see what I can'T get going up there. But by the end of this year, my goal is to get more cards so I can run crops of these strains, and work on my genetics project: Evil Green the Big 13....

I like the bending method, even though I got kinda lazy earlier in this crop and simply topped them instead of bending. The result is way more spindley plants, which might work out well in the scrog. After taking select cuttings for crop 4, I rewired them and trimmed em up. Before reshuffling them back into the closet, I gave em a small shot of Other Tomato, which is now gone.

The stuff is awesome, I LOVE it and HIGHLY RECOMMEND and ENDORSE this AMAZING product. My only complaint is the price due to the 15 ml/gal dump instuctions 2 to 3 times a week... I killed a litre in ten days (I only grow 12 flower/12 veg). For 40 bones, I can't afford to use it all the time as opposed to Humic Acid, Cal Mg, Sensizym, and SuperB+. Only 2 of those litres run out with each crop. Oh yeah, it doesn't replace Cal Mg+... I met a distributor from Colorado and they gave me a litre. That is it above, I just used the last shot of it after taking cuttings off of cop 3.

The ladybug population is about 1/3 of what it was when I let about 100 of em go 3 days ago.

Evil Green the Big 13 is a cross between this Purpollo 13 and either Big Bud or G13 (I'll do both and see which one is the best producer)...

Staked em. Took out the wires and replaced them with bamboo stakes. Fed them some Age Old Organics Grow and some Maxicrop Seaweed at 1/4 strength. I also took the crop number of plants down to 10 by giving away a Northern Lights (from 5to 4) and the last of the OG kush strain I was working with. Nowthere is no more OG, just the 2 plants in crop 2 that are a few weeks from done at this point.

Yeah, looking good still, nothing bad happened. Today, Feb. 18, 2012 I watered them with just water. I also cut off some clones for crop 4. I had a shit ton of shit to do, so I didn't think of taking flix of the plants while they were out of the closet. Bummer too, because I was just looking at the ones in this thread above thinking how awesome those shots were. Noticeable improvements was prevalent in every plant. The clones were beautiful. Look up journal 4 for that. That's about all - I did whack the tops off of some of the tallest branches - probably 4 total on all 10 plants. The White Lightning and the Apollo 13 (hybrids) are out growing the rest of the plants (NL, G13, Juicy Fruit, and Pure Indica = Indicas - they are done getting taller), and I doubt this trend will slow down either, so I am just going to keep topping them until its switch day. Try to stop me!

well.... SHIT, that last update was a long fucking time ago, eh? I will do this update soon, I have pics. Harvest is coming in a week, so I don't plan on getting too bizzy with this update. Important news for now, I added a 1000 watt light around week 3 and this is the grow I finally have the air cooling system online and a new 30 amp circuit in the room. Too bad that it wont work out in the summer. I am about to build a 6000 watt garage... see ya.

Yeah... don't let the five foot stakes fool ya. Those stalks are corkskrewed around the stakes. When I straighten out those branches, some of those main stalks will be taller than me (I'm 6 feet). The ones I know when they were started (Apollo 13, 4 NLs, 2 Hash Plants) have been growing since "12-21-2011 Planted the Last One..." Remember that? Last Page lol. Anyhow, that's some serious fucking veg time.

out of all of that, the juicy fruit came down first, tonight. It looks like 2 to 4 ounces. Sorry, no pics. I'm flying solo. Pic release will come soon. I have a to do list that looks more like a grocery list for a ten kid family. Fuck me.. whatever, I'm gonna press on and not care about pictures too much. I am about to get scissor happy on the Apollo 13 plant when I wake up. That fucker also looks like it will end up in the 4 to 5 ounce area. These plants are all about 5 feet tall total, with NOTHING under the canopy. I mean, they look like fucking palm trees. ALL COLAS. Of course, there are little buds under the colas, they add up and the Juicy Fruit was void of anything I would consider "lurf" - shit you just toss into the hash material pile. NONE. The smallest nug, I swear to you came off of the main stalk near the dirt. That bud looks like it might still weigh a half a gram or more cured. So yeah, I smoked a bud today that I put on the rack about a week ago. So it was premie, but it tasted proper. It buzzed like a pure indica would. My eyelids felt like there was more sand in them with every blink. Tasted phenomenal. Best Juicy Fruit I had in years. Shit. That was a week pre-cut down. With no cure. Can't wait! Also, fuck it, the main cola was HUGE. That thing felt like it weighed a pound. We all have felt those before. I mean, its huge, I'll put a pic of me holding that thing soon, im beat, see ya later if anyone gives a fuck about this wierd inbetween crop. Its interesting because two crops from now will have all of these same strains, unless I decide to get rid of that unknown hash plant...I wish I had friends! haha.

So somewhere around week 4 or 5 I added another 1000 watt HPS in the middle of the tent, putting the total watts at 2200.
As you can tell, these plants turned out pretty much perfect for having about 220 watts per plant... as always, I wish I could have had more light on em... I care more about quality though and I was able to keep the temps at an average overall of 78 daytime 75 night. Its not easy in Michigan in a small house, but it was my goal, mainly because of the Apollo... I'm just bullshitting while waiting for the pics to upload, but I will say that there was nothing but delightful surprises with this crop. The juicy Fruit - Awesome, the Pure Indica I ended up writing Reggie Miller on the jars and now its a local legend before the brunt of it is even cured. I debuted that in Detroit yesterday and got nothing but Rave revues. Apollo 13 - WAY better rotating the bucket as opposed to Scrog. Tighter buds, heavier side branches... the smoke it UNREAL. Northern Lights = Smell and taste remind you of an old friend's musty party den but the buzz is like that modern day WHAM shit.... Grade A+ I will be sending a sample of the NL and the Reggie to the lab because I have some of it available. White Lightning was a strong grower, medium yielder, but it is one of the best hash producer right up there with Apollo 13... and the smoke is good for any reason you want to smoke. G13 worked. I think I might grow it till the end of the year and be done with it until I find it again - kind of like NL, it'll be around later in life. When the next Clone-Only comes around, it might get bumped
