I recently just noticed the knats are back. I used the sand method on top of the soil and used neem oil to control them and also watered them with mosquito dunks it worked for a week then i just noticed them again a few days ago i am currently using organic soil and am 3 weeks away from harvesting any suggestions on what else to do. I was going to put mosquito dunks back in and just keep using them until my harvest does anybody think this will ruin my grow. Another thing i wanted to try is using peroxide to water them with instead of the dunks please let me no your advice. Also please give me advice if you have experienced this issue and what worked.

Ive used a product called GOGNATS. ... worked well.. but you need to insure they are not root aphids.. do you have in yellow sticky traps to catch the adults ?

-an easy fix is to put a 1/2" or 1" layer of sand on top of the soil, this always kills em.
-or you could water with neem oil and h20. or you could let a pack of cigarettes soke in a gallon of h20 over night, and water with that.
i've encountered theses pests twice; 1st time i used tobacco juice with great success. the 2nd time i did the sand method and it worked instantly!!!

Definately knats i used the sand technique it worked great and mosquito dunks. Then a week later i seen them back in my soil i am going to try mosquito dunks for another week and hopefully this will keep them away until my harvest.
