Right now I'm growing 7 plants, I have 3x Cheese Berry (experimental grow) and 4x Banana Karmel (photo sensitive). The plants are in a 39x39x60 AgroMax tent from HTG. The girls have been vegging for about 2 1/2 weeks. So far I'm pretty pleased with the light, in just two days goin from 330watt Ho CFL was amazing the plants just took off. I just finished the Myco Tea feedings, and soon I'll begin adding fertilizers, right now I'm letting them use whats in the soil. Which is Royal gold. Im using a combination of 75% Turpur and 25% basement. I'll keep you guys posted as the grow goes. Hopefully if all goes as planned I'll be able to buy a second one by the end of the first month of flower.:leaf::leaf:

I'm pretty sure that Kind lights are simply rebranded Chinese lights. I think most of the folks would agree that if you live in the US, buying from a company that's based in the U.S. is one step better than buying on eBay, but it's still a Chinese LED.

Of course, we need to be careful about blanket condemnations. Area 51 LED's are "Chinese LEDs" in as much as they're assembled in China, but the company is specifying quality parts for their panels.

That is definitely a re-branded Apollo8 LED, which is originally manufactured by Cidly, a chinese company. There are a number of companies that re-brand Cidly lights as their own...its not a problem, just stating fact.

I have one of these re-branded lights...from a Canadian distributor, called Greenlampcanada. Exact same specs as yours. Mine works flawlessly (so far, knock wood) and has grown me some fine/dense flowers. I'm quite happy with mine, so far!

But it is also fact that many have had issues with this make of light panel, with drivers failing and lights burning out after a few months. I've seen the photos, and am just hoping mine doesnt suffer the same fate.

Curious...what does the little sticker on the back (fan) side of the panel say? Is there any APO8 marking on the sticker?

Best to you, grower. Hope these lights do you justice.

Not only LED driver failed ,also the led chips out .Change the replacements ,but failed again . that is definitely their quality problem .
Hope your lights are lucky ones .

You realize we have different diode arrangements right ? Your light doesn't have the same colors in the same spots nor does it have Uv only diodes that look like they're turned off on the second and fourth rows of lights. And I can't tell because of the light but does it have a green light as well? NASA stated that for leds to work right they do need some green light, you can research it, it's called the x-5 spectrum.

The Apollo LED's are all customizable, color-wise, but the guts are all the same, whether you get from Cidly, Fero, Greenlampcanada, Kind, or any others. Thats what the other posters are saying. They're all manufactured in the Cidly plant, in China. Some may be assembled and customized in different locations, ie: greenlampcanada purports they assemble theirs (with a custom diode array, including, yes, some green) here in canada. I cant verify if they really do, so I'll take them at their word, for now.

Mine has worked flawlessly, so far. Zero issues. Others have had problems...as you've seen. :)

I get that man, but calling two identical cars the same is bull shit if their insides are different. Just because Dodge produces a variety of cars, that doesn't mean they all have the exact same insides. Especially when he's just telling me they're bad. lol

you guys need to step back and look at what you are judging, don't take this as me "denying" chinese parts in KIND.....

just looking at the pics, the "shells" aren't the same, the kind seems to have different fan arrangement, ports on the end of the panel, and yea the modules are arranged differently (different pcb boards, maybe same heatsinks, idfk)

but the biggest thing that stands out are the 3 dimmable knobs- not sure they copied cidly on that one. if they did please correct me, I almost pulled the trigger JUST for that feature when I saw KIND in a Maximum Yield mag months ago,

And out of all the led companies- they are one that is literally in every issue, so at least they are willing to try to think about the consumer, and properly market their product, (unlike companies that literally pay growers or give products to boast their panels, and mods let em! [not on this forum and none of our peers])

If you were going to buy a chinese panel... I think this is probably one of the better ones, for sure. and it seems to have pretty good coverage for a 3x3, what is your height at OP?

What we need to know is just that to prove that they are different to us .If you are different , then you can prove that they are really different . NOT JUST TALKING .

I have it about 20 inches above the canopy covering about a 3x3 really well. as for the knobs i don't have any just one switch for power and you adjust height, plus i have a socket similar to a computer for the power. Everything is made in china thats just people being ignorant, yes we know some lights blow ass and cant flower, but THATS WHY I POSTED THE FUCKIN GROW!!! so we'll see. So far even after a couple of days theres been some nice growth, I even light stressed the runt of my grow in the middle. Anyone know the power draw of the other stuff? this one is at 270w? And there's a pic showing showing the diodes. As for the parts going dead or burning out in a couple months it has a 3 year warranty, so I'm not that worried about it. They also have a 90 day money back guarantee, so if they suck I can send it back, because this grow will be done in less time than that.
