Really hard to grow outside without a fence. If it's not the pests on the plants, it's something larger looking for a snack. But a very simple enclosure will deter most critters. We have rabbits/deer/groundhogs all over the woods and they've never been a problem even though they could get in if they wanted to. Blackbear are another story. I wait for calm/no wind days if I need to apply a fish meal top dress. Learned that the hard way.

Fwiw I live in a concealed only state and had to do all of that. In fact if I move , in or out, state I have to send state and local police their new address or it’s cause for revocation.Got my first firearms card at 15yrs old. At the time permits were valid until suspended or revoked. Then in the early/mid 2000’s ?, Taxachusettes figured out they could make some more revenue and put a deadline / expiration on all licenses. Even after many yrs of being licensed, we had to take class and resubmit applications.

Rabbit is great. I absolutely love mine . Store bought chicken can’t touch it. Anyone who wants a sustainable meat source as well as fert imo should have some. It takes only 4 pounds of feed to make a pound of rabbit meat . As a bonus they’re basically silent and don’t smell like a lot of livestock

Yes it’s called rabbit fever. I can’t remember off top of my head, but think it causes a liver problem.

No I’m wrong that’s a different thing. What your talking about can happen with any lean meat.

Ya I haven’t had that issue but know it can happen. If your gonna put them out that small or even start them outside a makeshift cage over them could help
