I recently just started getting back into it so my tolerance is pretty weak. Plus I refuse to use bongs/bubblers/etc. I stick to joints, blunts and bowls which is the much slower way to get that nice high. I don't really want to become 'tolerant' of weed, I very much enjoy my intolerance. When I was a fiend I would often try other things after smoking to increase my buzz and I hated myself for it. Weed is certainly a gateway drug but this time around I'm not going to let it drag me to all that other shit.
Sorry but I have to strongly disagree. You may have an addictive personality in search of constant euphoria, don't blame that on the weed though.

wait, you prefer to have a low tolerance but complain about the high? and weed is a "gateway drug" that "dragged you into other shit"? don't take this the wrong way, but you should stick to bread and water. you seem to not have a very good handle on your life. a bowl of carrots could probably push you over the edge at this point.

If you stop getting high off weed just stop doing it for a while...I've never thought about trying anything else. Ok - weed can be psychologically addictive but provided you take regular breaks from it (like 2 weeks on 2 weeks off kind of thing...) it should be cool and you shouldn't need to take anything else...I've had periods of 1-7 months of blazing ALMOST every night, and every time when I've quit it just becomes SOO damned hard to get to sleep - after 4-5 days it'll start getting easier coz you're mind gradually won't find it wierd to be sober before sleeping...I'm not sure coz I generally binge then go cold turkey, but I'd GUESS 3 days on 3 days off or 1 week on 1 week off should be ok and your brain shouldn't stop you sleeping

my suggestion to the original op, stay baked...all the time...people can't tell when I'm high or not unless I let them, and thats because I'm bakes most of the time, but I still have shit to do, so rather than sitting they're giggling like a fool, I go about my business just less stressed then I normally am...Although I guess its like anything else, some people can't hold their liquor, and act a complete fool when they're drunk, where as if I'm drunk off wine, I become much more polite than usual, hard liquor, it depends on my mood when I started drinking, if I was ready to fight before I shot tequila, I'll damn sure be aggressive afterwards, if I'm drinking with friends, I'm just more relaxed and a hell of a lot less self conscious. As far as killing the high? Most effective thing I can think of is fear, I've seen people who normally act a fool straighten the fuck up when we saw christmas lights behind us.....

I doubt there's any way to 'kill the high' but the more times you get high the more you build up a tolerance - eventually you can go about your everyday tasks while being very baked.

I agree, build up tolerance. What i find works is exercise, it gets rid of the buzz quick.

If you don't want to build up a tolerance, why are you smoking blunts? lol.

If you wanna kill a buzz (again, you don't want a tolerance but you're smoking enough to have a 'bad trip'?) do a few push ups, or jumping jacks. Take a cold shower. Chug a soda (energy drinks work well, so does beer, but that may lead you to a worse experience). Eating sometimes helps.

getting pickles on my cheeseburger when i specifically asked for no pickles kills my high.
 
keep busy on something like cooking or yard work just sitting around will make you bug out and if you don't think about it you forget about it

The harder my brain works the faster I seem to burn the herb... I mean if I'm doing heavy consentration like laying out circuit boards, I go through several grams a day.
But yeah, as I said the chocolate or icecream thing works for me, basicaly anything high in sugar... makes you like super high for a minute, and then its back to normal.
 
adrenaline IMO is the best way; scientifically speaking.
