Kick off

Hello everybody, although Im waitin on the seeds that I ordered from Nirvana, i thought it might be better to get the shit started and get the grow room ready for my AK-48

This is gonna be my second grow using CFL, Imma put up some pics of my new bulbs and the grow room... I'd appreciate ur help and ideas in advance.

Lemme know if i need to get more bulbs for my space, which I'll probably need more 2700K for the flowering stage and btw is it necessary to use reflectors ?

Nirvana make really good seeds. The bad rep is a bit of a myth. They have no hermie prone genetics in any of there lines. Although they do tend to latch onto popular cutting names... but 90% of the seed market does the same lol.
AK48 is a really nice strain, You get some real fire from it! Lots of berry pheno's and lots of thick resin production. Nocks most people down with one joint lol.

They are about medium size so you will need to do a bit of training in that space. Also a short veg time to make sure she fits & gets enough light.
That bulb should be plenty for the space.

I used 4 of these for my last plant which didnt turn out very good after 6 months thats why im a bit concerned about the new one I dont wanna mess it up just like u said i wanna get some real fire from it

Keep that CFL as close to the plants as you can without them burning & the buds will come out great =)
CFL also produces fluffier buds then other lights ... but personally I have no hate for that..its not a big difference & just makes grinding it a tad bit easyer lol.
Try find your self a 2700k for bud time like you mentioned and everything will workout great =)
(I have seen amazing bud from blue light though, so dont worry if you cant get one in time )

yep, thanks man So u think that 100W 6400K is enough to veg with ? I'll probably go for LST

and this is my first grow right before the harvest ! and thats how I had the lights set up, Im thinking of getting a reflector instead of attaching it to the back part how 'bout that ?

Yeah a reflector of some kind will be a good idea, Its much easier to move the light up & down compared to plants =)

That plant looks pretty nice tbh maybe it was picked a little late? or light too far away? Max distance for that type of light I would say 6 inches, But I keep them closer.

Get your self a "jewelers loop" from ebay so you can examine crystals so you can pick it at the prime time =D
They are very cheep

I used this tiny microscope to check the trichomes it was like %70 milky and the rest was amber... it had such a nice flavor but the weird thing about it was the bud production was really poor, I mean i just harvested bunch of leaves with trichomes on em.
Im thinking one of these reflectors might be good... like u said its easier to adjust instead of drilling wholes on my closet haha

You could even get away with making one. Mine is currently home made from wood and painted with mat white paint to reflect. Depends on your budget =) Benefits from being able to customize it for the space being used.
Might be an idea to get some milar & a stapler so you can get the very best from your light. Whats on the walls of the box?

Im going to guess the loose bud was a mixture of blue light and distance.

It used to be aluminum foil but i removed em now i was thinking of milar too actually... and probably it was the distance from the light that screwed the buds... Cuz i used four 2700K bulbs for the flowering stage.
