I'm going on an elite pheno hunt for my next grow or 2... going to grow out 50+ of something looking for that very special rare pheno that knocks your socks off

I am leaning towards Apollo due to my love of that strain and BG genetics, but I don't want to limit myself.... what's YOUR favorite TGA strain of this list that I'm considering.

Please vote based on your personal experience not what you think would be good... if you haven't smoked it, don't vote for it.

There's a few missing, but thats just cause subcool is a busy man! Anywho, I personally enjoy Jack the Ripper strains quite a bit (Pandora, Ace of spades, Ripped Bubba) because of the serious pain relief. I also feel like they dont drag me down during the day while still numbing out the usual back pain etc... Plushberry is what I'm trying next!

It only let me put 10 options so I had to narrow my strain choices more than I wanted ;) I didn't put JTR on the list because it's in many of the crosses already

I'm with nugbuckets. Vortex !!!!! Man that vortex makes my fingers go a hundred miles an hour on the fretboard of my guitar. Jimmi would like the vortex I bet.:peace:

Ace of spades is some BADASS WEED, so tastey, smooth, and packs a punch, it hits you so hard right away, than slowly fades away. great for pain relife, but also can be smoked during the day with out putting you to sleep.

Jillybean was also super nice (not going to knock your socks off tho) but taste AWSOME.

I also have qurkle, it is really good, but i dont have the greatest pheno.

for a pheno hunt i would say ACE OF SPADES, because when u find that pink ace that taste good and get u ripped,

Don't worry, I'll be growing them all out over time :) this is just the FIRST pheno hunt. My new grow I'm hoping to be able to grow out 3-4 10 packs per grow to look for keepers

I meant to hit vortex, stinking iphones.

My favorite to date is still jacks cleaner II with kaboom a close second. Vortex was a good strain for me as well. Ace of spades had a great yield, but I didn't care for it myself, just not the high I like.

You're the first I've heard who wasn't an AoS fan - what was it you didn't like about the high? how many females did you grow?

If JC2 is your favorite why choose vortex? :)

Kaboom hands down! Hard hitting to say the least, with gooey drops of resin on underside of the buds due to gravity. Not for light smokers.

Bump... gonna be ordering soon gotta decide.

That one spectacular pic really has me leaning towards an AoS pheno hunt... but not decided yet. Here's what I got in stock and how I'm leaning so far (in no particular order)

Ace of Spades - 6 seeds and 4 seedlings being taken care of by a fellow RIU friend - nothing i grew last grow was on the sweet side... so i really wouldn't mind getting a nice berry pheno :) was just remembering/craving smoking the blue mystic i grew out a long time back. If I ended up with a potent lemony jack pheno, I wouldn't be disappointed either :)

Cheesequake - 6 seeds left, 4 seedlings with same friend -- lots of people like the cheese, and once again would love to find something with both taste and potency for a keeper

Timewreck - Had 4 seeds, they have disappeared :( So maybe I need to do a Timewreck pheno hunt, which if I purchased enough seeds would surely produce some good Vortex phenos. The only thing is, TimeWreck just has not gotten a lot of great buzz around it I'm not sure if people just aren't smoking/growing it yet or what... but I haven't seen many raving about it even though hovering's grow thread looked sooooo amazing... but the lack of raves is dampening my enthusiasm even though I got NO timewrecks from my pack of 10 -- 1 seedling didn't complete sprouting when I sprouted them and the other 5 died from dehydration-heat in friend's care.

Apollo 13 - Still have 6 seeds left - although i'm probably one of the bigger Apollo fans on the site, I got tons of apollo at the moment and hopefully have a good cut returning to me so I think I'm holding off on an apollo hunt until i've found a few other keepers.

Plushberry - sounds wonderful but can't think of a reason to choose it over AoS

Querkle - Also sounds great but if I pheno hunt CQ I should get some solid querkle phenos.

Vortex - Surprised vortex is in the lead due to all the great reviews many of the other strains get... thinking if I wanted to go vortex, I'd be better off pheno hunting Timewreck and looking for a vortex pheno :)

Chernobyl - Golden ticket thread is kind of what got me in the mood to do a full on pheno hunt (that and deciding to build a crazy vertical grow setup so that I can grow a lot of plants in a limited space). Still in the mix... really I just want whichever is the hardest hitting trainwreck cross.

I'm going to be popping the 6 apollo, 6 aos, and 6 CQ this weekend along with some non-tga beans this weekend (5 cannacopia genius x deep chunk, 2 greenhouse chemdog, 1 each greenhouse bubba kush and kings kush)...

I'm running Jillybean and Cheese Quake right now (plushberry to follow). I only got one female out of a 5 pack for Jilly, so no pheno hunting here, but the one female looks pretty good. She is at 8 weeks flower, and I'm going to give her 1 more week. She looks to be a good producer, and smells of a lovely pineapple/citrus scent. A little foxtailing going on, but over all looks pretty nice.

The Cheesequake are at week 5 flower. I got 3 females out of the bunch, and man, these things look GREAT! Extremely sticky-icky already, with a VERY pronounced smell! 1 looks shorter in stature, with a less pronounced smell, and the other two are a little taller, and absolutely reek of a wonderful fruity/funky smell. These plants have a ways to go yet, but I am very much looking forward to trying them out.

I know this isn't much help as I have yet to cut/dry/cure/smoke these yet, but I am very impressed with both so far ..... especially the CQ!

Best of luck!

Will you be doing another grow journal on these Sensei? I really enjoy your Apollo thread...I have an unhealthy obsession with A13 and can't wait to hopefully grow some out after I'm released from the military next year! I also was looking at the Genius x DC on hemp depot thinking it would make a good cross with Subs A13bx and maybe get a real genius heavy cross out of it... Well hope to see the thread for that stuff as itsgot some strains im greatly intrigued by.

I just ran from seed:

CQ - 3 diff phenotypes. 5 pack - 2 males, 3 girls.
1 - FiFi - cheese Dom short and full of heads. Very resinous. Very slow growth, but worth the wait. Keeper cheese pheno.
2 - Spooky - taller, sugary, pure dense meat on this girl....she is THE keeper CQ pheno for us. Grape cheese Danish all the way.
3 - Fluffy - tall, bushy, fluffy, finicky.......likes less food.....more querkle Dom........on the fence with her.

I'm running them all again and have cuts from each........I think fluffy will be eliminated.

plushberry - 5 pack - 2 males, 3 girls.

1 bcs Dom who is totally pink and megenta.....looks so cool, smells wonderful. Awesome cannabis!
2 sq doms who are taller but still absolutley beautiful.

Jtr 5 pack - 4 girls one guy

2 made it to flower, culled the rest....lanky and just not hitting.
of the two I kept I'd say i found a cleaner pheno and a pink lemonade who,is shorter and stockier than the taller cleaner........btw the cleaner tastes Funky. Soaring feel to it. No ceiling.

TGA makes it so easy.......just plug n play!
