Keep getting bud rot, need help!

I harvested one of my seven plants to test but all its buds got bud rot and was discarded. Now I'm stressing about the other six plants that I must harvest sometime over the next couple weeks.

Strain: Grand Daddy Purple x Kush
Week: 8
Nug texture: Dense
Rot on living plants: No sign
Drying Room: 70F-85F, 32%-50% RH, same as growing room.
Air Exchange: Yes, window AC and exhaust fan
Oscillating Fan: Yes
Method(s) tried: Drying basket, hang by stem, wet trim, dry trim, etc..

Despite what I try, within two days the bud and trichomes go brown and a hay smell sets in; I know it's not normal drying, it's rot. It seems to be starting within the bud, in the stems. Even when I've removed nearly all stem and left only a popcorn nug to dry, still it begins to rot from the stem imbedded in the bud. I'm very worried, as if tried everything to no avail. Any advice?

How long does it take to dry the buds?
Three days if it's 85F/35%RH, Five days if it's 75F/35%RH. But the bud starts turning brown and smelling like hay either way, around the second or third day of drying. I think I'm going to try drying a plant while still in the pot, see if that might work. I'm getting desperate at this point. Btw the bud smells like mango prior to being chopped. Sucks.

How many days untill you notice them shrink? Sounds like it's been over-dried

If it's molding and ur rh is that low then it was most likely there before you chopped and you just didn't see or recognize it.
Yes, I've thought of this and it is my greatest fear. But if it is, then it's within stem, as all live bud and leaf are of excellent sight and smell upon thorough examination.

The outside is dry when the hay/brown comes but the interior is still moist when busted open; these [Indica] buds are rather dense. Tried posting pics but it won't let me pull from computer, instead asks for URL.

This guy called it. Its not molding below 50% humidity dead, it must have started when it was alive. Likely you should grow a different strain, GDP grows huge colas that are may be more prone to mold than other strains.

That's actually pretty normal with drying a lot of the time. Chlorophyll seems to be the culprit from what I've read. 2-3 weeks in the jar and it's gone. Have you harvested before?
I've had to deal with budrot outdoors due to high temps and local humidity is in the 70s on a good day. There's a really distinct smell that comes along with it. Like a musky version of a fruit that's just gone beyond it's shelf life. Or a Halloween pumpkin when it starts rotting.
And when you break it open it looks like thin cobwebs are forming.
