Hi, in the 2 years of my SOG op I've bought and bred several strains.
I do nothing fancy, I run 2 1000 hps for flower and 1 1000 mh for veg. I typically veg till under a foot before I flower. The following is a review of these strains. I often loose strains due to clones unsuccess, their ability to unimpress thus not have mother space and some just get lost over time...But the moto in my op is 'only the strong survive' so take that in and see which you want to choose! I come from a part with very high quality bud btw.
KC36
I like growing this strain. Very resilient, grows fast and tall and the yield is fair. The bud is ok nothing special but at least AA rating. Very orange and mellow high. Easy to clone and high surviving rate. I recommend to all beginner growers.
LA confidential
The highest grade strain Ive ever grown. Ridiculous amount of crystal and when cured, is the only strain so far that has that kush odor. Amazing knockout high. Though, must be vegged for long to obtain fair yield but in general not a high yielder. Difficult to clone, need to take large clones to survive. Recommended for those looking for a kush AAA strain. Doesn't strive in SOG though because its very bushy, I will eventaully attempt to single cola grow it.
Big Bud
Massive single cola strain and doesn't smell that much. Ok amount of crystals and just a regular high, AA at most. A huge bitch to clone, have had very little success doing so. Also grows awkwardly has some funky genetics. Very high yielder, though Ive yet to find a method that will allow it to be cloned regularly. My next atttempt will be in rockwool but usually those that fail in vermiculate fail in rockwool.
Skunk #1
A great strain. Nothing fancy, just a high crsytal, nice looking bag appeal strain. Does well in SOG but isnt the highest yielder. Easy to maintain and friendly to clone. Needs good veg time to thrive in SOG. Nice high.
Twilight
Got it cause they said it was purple. Save your money bullshit strain.
Mango
Very similar characteristics to skunk #1 but more orange and fruity. Here's the thing though, lots of seeds up in them even in cool temps and isn't as easy as skunk to clone.

Oh ya and the seed banks I trust most are DNA, Dutch Passion KC Brains soso and will jack has disappointed me
