Karma

Anyone here as mystified into this theory of Karma as I am?
In another thread people kept relating "stealing from walmart" with the aftereffects of so-called "karma"

I'd think most can admit we know Karma doesn't exist, naturally we draw conclusions on coincidences but to think that "stealing from a store" is going to physically effect a unrelated event in ones life is ludicrous. You can tie ANY event to the root cause of it's existence.. It was not a event "created" by Karma, (it happened because you haden't changed the brake lines, you were doing 150km/hr, and the line disconnected minutes before that "S" bend - NOT because you have a dead hooker in your trunk and that's bad Karma).

How can one believe in this bullshit? Would it be because people are simply looking for justification and willingly blindly ignore the root causes of such incidences?

i kinda think religion ties to it. You kno, God is always watching, kinda thing.

It is silly, but i swear karma had bitten me in the ass. I was addicted to heroin for only 4 months(longest months of my life) and one night i prayed to god to help me get off (i rarely use to pray) and i shit u not, the very next day, i go to jail, where i sat for 6 months. But now im at a point in my life where its hard to believe in god, so karma kinda goes out the window with it

Not a believer in god, but i've got "KARMA" tattooed on my toes, so naturally i'm a big believer in the mysterious ways of Karma.

i think what goes around comes around but it's not really a "higher power" thing. i dont believe in god or jesus or any of that ridiculous trash. i do believe if you're a nasty person, people will notice and people will treat you nasty and you will end up with a negative view on things. ive seen people who are not nasty with a negtive view so it's not neccessarily going to happen but hey, f youre an asshole, expect to be treated like an asshole.

walmart is a lage corporation, taking a $10 item is not really bad karma. it's not like your stole someone's only piece of bread and left them to starve

Hey buddy, you're the one who spewed that shit. There's logic involved in science, not so much with karma... it really should be straightforward.... It's also sad that one would wish "karma" onto another, do you also have voodoo dolls in your desk drawers?

Yeah no shit, medicalmaryjane.... If you act like an ass, you will get treated like an ass. Yet there are tons of despicable people out there, who have many fortunes in their lives, and won't get what they deserve for anything horrible they've done... that's life.

The idea that there's this little dude distributing good and bad karma as need is an absolute joke.

Okay, I'm done ranting now....

I think your definition of 'Karma' might be a little off. I didn't really fully understand the idea of Karma so I looked it up. It seems the law isn't actually "stealing from a store" effects a "physically...unrelated event". The effect on the latter action would actually have to be physically related. Meaning "stealing from a store" fostered thoughts of negativity that later had physical repercussions. The Karma is the action. The thoughts before the action would deem whether the action is good/bad. The after thoughts of the action are thought to effect your next actions regarding the next set of thoughts.

Just thought I'd throw that out there...

I'm suprised some don't believe in karma, I didn't for a very long time, I was a selfish thief. Its been a couple years since I changed my ways. I gotta say it feels awesome. Been flooded with work, I just toss buds to friends now. it is true good things happen to good people. IMHO
