and I test positive for thc (I could've called that) but I also tested positive for BZO, which I found out is benzodiazepines. The strange thing is, I've never taken that in my life so I'm not sure how in the hell I tested positive for it? Has anyone else had this happen to them/does anyone know why it could be in my system? Haha

so since you tested positive...doesn't that go on your permanent record? The philosophy I've always been taught about drug tests is, if you know your going to fail don't take them or if you think you're going to fail don't take them because it will always be on your record that you failed a drug test because you had X substance in your system.

Well, I was not aware I was going to have to take a drug test for the job, otherwise I would've just stayed home. I went to the hospital last week for a panic attack/dehydration and they gave me two different medicines. My friend said that's probably why I tested positive, as they administer BZOs to people having panic attacks. I was not aware it would be on my permanent record. That really sucks..Like I said, if I would've known there was a drug test, I wouldn't have gone. So if it stays on my permanent record, what does that mean? Forgive my ignorance but I don't really have any experience with this sort of thing.

depending on what they do with the fact you tested positive, they can be dicks and submit the info and it would be on your record so if you went to do another drug test somewhere else it would show what you tested positive for before
If you live in a place like cali, when you test positive for weed no one really cares and sometimes just ignores it and still hires you

ok nvm I did some reading on it after posting. From what it looks like. Your results are confidential to that company that tested you. If they release this information WITHOUT your consent then you could potentially sue them; however, I am sure law enforcement could easily get these records if they needed to for some reason. Poes are tricky like that.

Well that's good it's confidential. I don't see the harm in having a little weed in your system. The problem is, that's not how the government sees it. hah
Thanks for the info! :)

Call the job and ask about your drug test. If he says you failed and what not, go into some HUGE story on how you used to smoke a long time ago and quit. Say recently your friends thought it would be funny to give you hash brownies and you had no idea. Then just explain the BZO incident. In his mind it's either a huge coincidence or he thinks you're a druggy and you're shit out of luck. But a small chance of working is better than a 100% chance of failure. :weed:

Either way, keep some Quick Fix or The Whizzinator handy in between jobs. ;)
