That's tricky. The location of the bud makes you think it'd be male. But it doesn't look like it's on a stem. Actually looks like a little calyx. I don't know dude, but you'll be able to tell for sure within a few days. Week at most. I will say this, you're gonna need more light. If that turns out to be a female, already vegged two feet tall and in a 5 gal, she's gonna be a big bitch! You'll need at least twice the light for that big girl. I say need, it'd be nice to have at least twice the light. But if it grows, and it's smokeable, and it makes you happy...

CFL growing is about quantity and proximity, not wattage. At that size, i would expect to have around 15 25W close to the leaves.

If you insist on not adding more light, i suggest consolidating them to a general area with more nodes/bud sites to get a better yield in that area.

if you have 4 15W cfls you need ALOT more. I am using:

60W 10,000k
60w 50/50 Acintinc 10,000k
4 x 25W 5850k CLFS on radial (proximity)

And my baby is still in 3rd week of veg. by flowering i plan to add 2-4 more 25W and change the bulbs in the 60W'ers to red/yellow.

Realistically 4 x 14 = 56W. I would say you would be ahrd pressed to get anything substantial at all off that plant unless every single lumen was in the perfect spectrum (red/yellow) and that's no where near the case with 2700k CFLs.

In short, yes, you need way more light.

I've got 325 watts on two plants and wish I had more. That plant certainly won't realize its full potential with 56 watts. It would take a lot of light to max that girl out.

U only need 200 true watts for a plant to grow fully its all about the nutes u use to grow it. And it looks like a female give her another week or so to show sex. GoodLuck

More light, get a fan, keep the cfls a lot closer, and finally get rid of those damn mirrors! You are going to end up with a shit ton of hot spots. You need at least 90-100 actual watts during veg and 3 times that during flower.

You are going to be lucky to get a joint worth off that thing and it's going to stretch 2-3 times that during flower and it's just not plausible to to using cfls for that at least not that little of light. Another thing it's not all about watts you need to look at the lumens to.

Best of luck to you.

I use 10 cfls total. 7 x 26 watt 2700k, 2 x 23 watt 3000k, and 1 x 45 watt 2700k on mine. 17,500 lumens. I stagger them all about to cover the top and sides. She is a tight 32 inch Christmas tree with 27 budding branches plus the cola. My best suggestion is to get many 23 to 26 watt cfls, and distribute them around evenly, and turn her a lil every day to get better light penetration, and keep the lights8 to 10 inches away. from personal experience, any closer will burn the hairs.
Good Growing To You
