I've just started a crazy experiment.
Sprouted seeds 3 days ago to be vegged on 20 hrs a day under 250 w metal halide to be planted outside july 30th.
Do you think they'll go straight into flower and be finished by end of september?

hey
i reckon the daylight will be down to about 14/14.5 hours by july 30th and the difference between 20 hours and that may be sufficient to do it? what do you reckon?

yeah that depends alot on where you are latitude wise, which will affect the length of day. they could start flowering at 14.5, just not as vigorously as at 12. also the genetics obviously dictate length of flowering time and sensitivity to light sched and all that.

flowering after 3 days since germ??
i would veg it indoor ntil you get 12/12 outside. should veg faster indoors and then you will still need 8 or so weeks outside though.
cant rush mother nature

12/12 is sept 21 but i hope the drop from 20hrs a day to 14 14.5 a day will be enough to get them going indica responds quicker i think to shortening days.

one think you guys have to understand is it will flower outside without 12/12 that is just for indoor...undo they should [will] flower at 14.5

if your hoping to start the flowering process as soon as you plant outside then i would recommend giving your plant 24-36 hours of complete darkness inside just before you place it outside to help activate the flowering process. i do this with my outside grows and believe it helps...

well i have a few of them so i can experiment within my experiment with half giving them 24/36 hrs of dark see if there is any noticeable diffference from the ones that go straight out (all same variety the rock from rudraksha seeds so should be a fair test) getting a camera soon so pics on the way soon
