Wardrobe - 160cm heigth, just gone 12/12 and two of the plants (indica -afghan1) have had a huge spurt of growth and are at least 100cm.

First grow, I know they at least double in height in flowering, I have the lamp/cool tube as close as possible. What can I do?

I've heard people mentioning topping and lst, what do these entail and are they viable in this situation.

Any info / links much appreciated.

I'm think they might be males as they're taller and not as bushy as the other two, but can't tell yet.

Lst and topping yea they both would help keep it small. Lsting all your basically doing is training the plant to stay close to the top of the soil. All you got to do is make some hooks out of them wire clothes hangers and just hook it to the plant and push in the soil as far down as you want the plant. I lst and i have a very very very small area to grow so lsting should be just fine to do. Hope that helped some.

If you are using a heavy plastic bucket, you can screw small eye hooks into it. As long as width is less of an issue, you could "bend" or "train" the branches down and buy yourself another 40 cm. When bending stems or stalks, it is better to do it when the plant is dry.
