just one question about molasses

I got some Crosby's BLACKSTRAP MOLASSES

Any beside Ingredients its...Blackstrap molasses (Sulphites)

is this stuff good to used or what?

From what I've heard you need to use UNSULPHATED molasses. So no.... don't use it.

Sorry for the noob question but what is molasses used for and what are its benefits?
