And I'm ripped out of my mind lol.

We talked for like 30 minutes. People were pretty nice and said some things that surprised me. I'm not religious at all, I'm not atheist but I am agnostic. I am more bent on the logical/scientific mindset than spiritual.

It was a fun discussion. They want to come back and have some discussions and want me to write down some questions for them, no matter how hard they are. I might just let them.

Haha I never answer the door when they come, but if they appealed to you, then good for you. Whatever suits you. Haha I can only imagine what I would be thinking talking to them high as balls.

It appeals to me in the way that I love to have discussions and debates on religion with people who are religious. Their viewpoints fascinate me.

They always come to my door with books to read and stuff. Some are nice and go away but when I was a little kid some lady was like let me speak to your mother, get her down here right now lol. I slammed the door and ran upstairs to my room.

ask them what there feelings are about weed
Actually I did! lol they were like well its illegal so its not good.

Then I explained that Dane County does not prosecute for possession under 28 grams and its legal to smoke up to 4 oz in your own home via our city ordinance legally(and if you get caught in public with an oz or less its only a $109 fine)

I feel you on the debates.... I am a Christian, but love to hear others viewpoints. I love to try to think with a very open mind when talking about religion, because no matter what anyone says, no religion is proven true. That is why it is called FAITH. But anyways, I hate that religious debates can always start out peaceful, but they always cause an argument it seems. I just hate when you debate about it, people try to force their opinions on you. Obviously you cant force religion on someone.

BTW... if you havent seen (or read, the book is better) The Da Vinci Code or Angels and Demons, I would recommend them. I saw Angels and Demons when I was baked, and man does it make you wonder.

My ex boyfriend's parents are Jehova's Witnesses... They have strange beliefs, lol, very conservative. They are quite nice, generally, but his parents never did approve of me as a friend or girlfriend for their son.

Thats unfortunate that they would never accept you. Kinda understandable though, some people's belief are just so strong, which isnt bad, until it acts as a blinder to them, and they miss out on some of the greatest gifts of the earth. But hey, whatever floats your boat, right?

Well, I can't say I agree with them or anything, and I would say whatever makes you happy is cool, but there seems to be a lot of rules placed around the religion. I threw my ex his first birthday party when he turned 19. It was a surprise party... I've never seen anybody more surprised at a party in my life. He thought the party was for someone else, even though it was his birthday.

It's a strange religion, and his parents didn't like it when he decided to change religions. He's been searching for the "right" religion for most of his life. He's researched many religions, had a little bit of a Buddhist phase. I forget precisely what he settled on, but it's more spiritual than anything and it suits him.

The only real negative thing I can say is, his parents tried to force their religion on him and I'm completely against that. I don't really even believe in baptizing an infant because even though they are relatively insignificant in today's world, you still force something on someone else. I understand that different religions have different things, but I was baptized Catholic and Catholics believe that without baptism, if a baby dies before being baptized, it goes straight to Hell. I have a hard time digesting the notion that a god that's supposed to be benevolent would send innocent children to Hell based on the idea of original sin.

I feel you, especailly about religion being forced on you. Just should not happen. The world has changed soooo much jsut from when our parents were kid to now. People used to follow in ther parents footsteps, especailly when it came to religion. Completely different story now-a-days though. You used to not have kids changing religion like they do today. Teenagers/Young adults do what they feel is best for them. Just the world we live in, weather thats good or bad.

Last time they came to my door and asked to speak with me I said no isnt a great time but if you would please write down your name and address I would love to come talk to you when I am ready.

The refused and continued to ask me about religion and god. I talked to them and at first they told me the bible was the word of god and everything that it said was true and happened.

Then later when they quoted part of the bible that talked about 'milk' flooding the streets I asked if there was literally milk flowing down the streets? I was then told that you cant take everything literally.

I the told em they are hustling religion and I dont like to have my spirituality pimped to me and not to come back.
