I hope everything works out.
I youtubed busts and found one where they cops valued the plants at 5 and 10,000 dollars in Sacramento , i wanna find out who will pay that much and join that co-op instead.

I wouldnt worry about it, Ohio just needs some revenue , its gonna cost ya, then move.
Ohio sucks weather wise, i lived in Cincinnati for over 40 years.
Move where the rent is higher , but there are no utilities, i havent turned my heat on yet.
Heck move to Michigan , those people are cool and its legal.
Heck ask about a get out of town deal .

Regardless of if your a medical patient or not you can still be done by state police probably stating they are enforcing federal laws which makes cannabis illegal in every state of America. I was posting about Australia's good old days in another post 10 plants decriminalized and $50 on the spot fine plus destruction of plants, no equipment taken, then it was 3 soil only then it was 1 soil only (no hydro), it's a load of crap to be honest, biker gangs using weed to fund organized crime so everyone else suffers. But they presume that every person who has 10 plants must have been supplying bikers, so we all got screwed (no offense to anyone who is a biker, just gangs that use drugs).

i would be stoked if they fixed the issues in Australia, why should you be punished for growing a plant for your own purposes to assist in whatever reason you smoke it for. Personally I find that it reduces anxiety and stress, just as if someone was to drink a beer or drink a glass of wine at the end of they day, but for me it's more natural. Why do laws determine what substances I can take that does not affect anyone else, I don't go causing accidents, I don't sit around on the tax payers dime, and a lot of people like me are upstanding citizens that don't break any laws, apart from this one, it makes no sense

So I met with my lawyer today.. Things are not looking good.. He told me that they will be weighing everything they took, branches included. If it comes out to more than 1000g's, which I still don't think it will, then I will be charged with an F-3 which carries a mandatory 1 to 5 year prison sentence.... YAY! If under 1000g's then it will be an F-5 which also carries a jail sentence but can be suspended in exchange for probation and drug treatment, but since I have prior offenses (even though it was 8 years ago) I could still be sent to jail.. YAY! Only thing I can hope is that I get the F-5 and try to plea it down to a misdemeanor... FUCK ME! Colorado, Once this is all over I will be coming to see you and it will be bye-bye Ohio!

Hm that's weird I looked up where I live and it says four or fewer plants is a misdemeanor..
It is illegal to cultivate or sell marijuana in Ohio. Penalties vary according to the amount cultivated or sold, with increased penalties for second or subsequent offenses and sales within 1,000 feet of a school. (Ohio Rev. Code Ann. § 2925.04.)

Between 200 and 1,000 grams - Penalties include a fine of up to $2,500, up to 18 months in prison, or both.
If his lawyer is competent, he should be able to walk away with a $300 fine, and no jail time... Im just sayin...

I read the law definition of cultivation which means in Ohio they don't weigh soil on main stem which is where he will get all his weight he is aloud one plant up to 200 grams wet dry nobody cares cause he's over both just my opinion

They did not take the root ball or the main stem, they had me cut them down and i cut them at the branches, not the main stem... Then they left the pots with the stem and roots in them and only took the branches of buds with them... In Ohio I am not aloud any plants, marijuana is illegal in all shapes and forms here.. If I walk away with a $300 fine and no jail time I will be extremely surprised since I am going to be charged with a Felony, just don't know what degree yet..

If it makes you feel better, this Columbus guy had 79 plants and 6 pounds of ganja and he only got 180 days in the house of corrections.

https://www.mariettatimes.com/page/content.detail/id/551542/Pot-grower-sentenced.html?nav=5002

<2 years, house of corrections/ >2 years prison. House of corrections you're in there with people who didn't pay child support, shoplifters, etc.. Prison you're in there with murderers, rapists, bank robbers, etc...

They do have max units in the house of corrections for people awaiting trial for serious crimes but you wouldn't be in the max unit.

I wouldn't be surprised if this were plead down to a misdemeanor with probation. A felony for 3 plants for personal use sounds pretty harsh. It is Ohio, but still. What a waste of taxpayers money.
